Weekend Recap

As I posted on Friday, in the Fab Friday post, we went to the Making Strides for Breast Cancer walk in Downtown Detroit. It was an experience, let me tell you! There was music, and dancing, and me and a few other work girls got on stage and my girl Mallory remixed Bringing Sexy back for The American Cancer Sociyt. That was amazing! The weather was, to say the least....perfect! For the perfect amount of time! The walk is a total of 5 miles, but we only walked the 1 mile. And, thank God for that, because it started raining right as soon as we were walking to the car! But, towards the end, we got to meet Elmo!! That, in my opinion was the highlight of Chloe's life thus far! She lit up like a Christmas tree! The whole way home all she could talk about was Elmo! She was just so excited about it.

So, that was Saturday! After the walk, we went home and fed Chloe and ourselves lunch and then we all took about a 3 hour nap! That, was luxurious! Seriously, waking up at 5am and then walking a mile and a half....oh yea! It's tiring!

So, then Sunday, that was just a lazy day. We watched football and just hung out. No big deal.....

Fab Friday

Every Friday should be Fabulous! I mean, come on.....it's FRIDAY! So, this Friday I want to talk about what I'm doing this weekend! ACS! My company is a huge part of the American Cancer Society, and every year we have the walk in downtown Detroit! Making Strides for Breast Cancer! I'm really hoping that it's not going to rain, because last year I didn't make it. I woke up early in the morning, got ready, and figured out it was raining, and then we didn't go. But I'm really hoping this year is different. I'm planning to get on stage and everything, so wish me luck and pray for the rain Gods to NOT show up until after the walk! If you live in the Detroit area, or surrounding areas, you should definitely come out! It's a great time and for a great cause!! It starts in downtown detroit at Ford Field!!

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! if:

• I have not been on a diet for the past like 2 weeks....and honestly, I really don't care.
• We're not going to start working out again until next week, and that's fine with me!
• I'm a little nervous to have to get on stage in front of HUNDREDS of people at the ACS walk in Downtown Detroit this weekend....eeeeek!
• I'm a cheerleader for my work. Yep, I am!
• I got $100 Nailco Dollars for my 5 year review yesterday (moneys that I can use at work for product, or Friday off) and I fully intend to use it on a day off and NOT for more product that I really don't need!
• I had no intentions of buying the Pumpkin warmer from Scentsy, but the last minute LITERALLY of September, I decided to order it and I can't wait to get home today to unpack it and use it!!! Yay!!!
• Andy's Dad bought us all new brushed nickle hardware for our house! Door knobs and hinges! Eeeek! So happy about this! Now Andy is getting all the light switch plates switched. It looks SO MUCH better then brass!!

Last Night

Sorry for my lack of blogging today, but I just got downstairs after getting ready for my day and realized that I didn't have anything scheduled for today. I was out last night....it was for an ACS fundraiser for my work. I didn't get home until 10pm!! On a Wednesday, OMG, RIGHT?
Anyways, it was a fun night! Drinks and food and comedy with my work girls! Couldn't have asked for a better night out....but today?? Well, I'm sporting a wet hair, bun, and I'm sitting here hoping that this sounds good when I'm finished typing it because I know that I have to go wake Chloe up in about 2 minutes.
So there you have it, I blogged, not very good, not very interesting, but I did it! I hate leaving my blog un-written for a day. It just bugs me! So, if I didn't post this, I would have been frantic at work all day trying to come up with something else just as shitty as this.

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! if:

• I worked out last night. I did NOT want to, but I did it....
• I'm going out tonight. Yep, Wednesday night! It's actually a work event for ACS! Comedy Club. Yep, I'm pretty excited about this!
• I haven't been keeping track of what I eat all week.....and I.DON'T.CARE!
• I started getting back into Pinterest after a few months of not really paying attention. And now I want to make every single dessert and crock pot recipe I can find!!
• I was drinking Vi Shakes, but then I stopped...they didn't work for me.
• I'm totally considering letting day care potty train Chloe when she's 2.5! Just because I don't feel like dealing with it. Unless she shows signs of interest before then.

Going Pink for a Cause

And, since I'm not a very craft person, I will just post some pictures that I found that I think are cute, and very Pink, and made me think of all those in the world that have or are battling breast cancer. To you, our hearts go out!!

Each of these pictures made me think Pink and think about saving a life! I hope that they did for you as well!
