Last Night

Sorry for my lack of blogging today, but I just got downstairs after getting ready for my day and realized that I didn't have anything scheduled for today. I was out last night....it was for an ACS fundraiser for my work. I didn't get home until 10pm!! On a Wednesday, OMG, RIGHT?
Anyways, it was a fun night! Drinks and food and comedy with my work girls! Couldn't have asked for a better night out....but today?? Well, I'm sporting a wet hair, bun, and I'm sitting here hoping that this sounds good when I'm finished typing it because I know that I have to go wake Chloe up in about 2 minutes.
So there you have it, I blogged, not very good, not very interesting, but I did it! I hate leaving my blog un-written for a day. It just bugs me! So, if I didn't post this, I would have been frantic at work all day trying to come up with something else just as shitty as this.

How was your weekend?

I know it's Tuesday and I should have posted about my weekend yesterday, but I didn't. Honestly, because we did a whole lot of nothing, and I have NOTHING else to write about today....sad, but true. I'm at a total loss for words.
Our weekend consisted of some shopping. We bought some new curtains for our family room. We bought a new piece for Chloe's wall, and also a new hamper for Chloe's room, and one for our room too. Saturday we had lunch at Olga's....seriously one of my favorite places! And then Sunday we ordered in from a local pizza place and I got a chicken cesear calzone. Now, THAT was good!!!! Yummo!!!!!
This weekend we're supposed to be going to the Toledo Zoo to meet up with Shannon, her Hubs and Little Miss KP! That is if her Hubs doesn't have to work! So, here's hoping! Seriously, it's going to be absolutely perfect zoo weather!

I Gots......

Nothing.... Yea, a whole lot of nothing. It's been kind of tough for me to come up with stuff to blog about this week. I'm not sure if you have noticed that in my posts or not. Seems that you have considering I haven't had ANY comments AT ALL. Come on, am I THAT boring?! I had something for every day this week. I think I deserve credit for that! As you know from my Monday post, Hubs and I quit smoking. And today is day 5! I am doing GREAT! Husband....he's at the snacking stage. Because it's really hard after dinner to not go outside and have a cigarette....so he snacks. But, somehow we've both lost weight this week! I lost 1.6 lbs, and he lost like 1.5 or something. That puts my weight loss total up to 15 lbs! I cannot believe it! So that means I have 3 more lbs to go! I'm hoping that I can get those 3 lbs off in the next 2 weeks. That would be amazing. And then the new Weight Watchers session starts, and I would just be able to maintain. I'll be the first to "graduate". Yay!!! I am pretty excited about that.Alright, so enough about me. I guess I'm finding more and more stuff to write about, huh?We are taking Chloe to see the Easter Bunny this weekend...yea, that will be a post all in itself for next week. Just wait, you shall see.....I'm a little scared. She HATED Santa.....so I'm not looking forward to how she's going to react to EB this year. Last yea, she did Amazing!! She kind of put her finger in her mouth and just looked at us kind of confused. LOL! It was cute! And I really wish that I could find the picture from last year, but for some reason it's not on my FB page...so I'm sorry about that. I'll be sure to post the new one on my Monday post!Our company is starting to plan for our big move in the next couple of weeks. When we first heard of it, it wasn't supposed to happen until August. But rumors have been flying that our building is sold. So, we're going to be moving in the next 2 months.....so that's interesting. So, this past week we have been cleaning out stuff like crazy!!! So, it's kind of exciting.Well, that's all I'm going to write for today.I'm pretty excited for lunch time because there is a new Mediterranean restaurant that is about a mile from my work, and I'm really looking forward to try it today! So, I'll let you know how that goes!Thanks, Loves! 

Poor Excuse for a Post, Tuesday

Literally, with nothing else to write about, this fine Tuesday morning. Last night when I got into bed I thought to myself..."Self, did I have a post scheduled for tomorrow? Oh, sure I did...I'm pretty sure of it. Ok, I can go to sleep now." Well, turns out I didn't have anything written up for this morning. So, this is what I'm going to bless you all with...lol! I got my Scentsy order in the mail yesterday AND my Avon order! Eeeek! SOOOOO exciting! Of course I ripped the Scentsy box open as fast as I could and put that thing together like it was nobody's business! cracked open that scentsy bar of Mochadoodle and got that thing heated up! And, oh...it was heaven! I fell in love! Husband didn't quite get the hype. But, I'm totally addicted. Like, seriously, I don't even think that candles smell as good burning. It's just something about this Scentsy stuff that is amazing! Love it!So, Onto my Avon order. Since you all know that I've got some kind of something going on with my eyes, I can't really wear makeup right now. But, Lord knows I'm not leaving this house without foundation and bronzer. So I used my new Mark Timed for Perfection primer that I got from my cousin Shannon who is an Avon Rep. And, seriously, let me tell you. I need to buy stock in this shiznit! It's BOMB.COM!!!!! I will NEVER be able to go without it..ever again! I'm not sure how I've lived this long doing my makeup without it. I'll post some pics like next week. I can't wear eye makeup right now so girl is going eyeliner and mascara-less right now. And, it ain't pretty.

Tidbit Tuesday

In bullet points. Cuz I think they are cool....(kinda)

• As you know we got Chloe's 18 month pictures done on Saturday. Our photographer has posted a few sneak peaks on Facebook, and I die a little every time I see a new one. They are THAT adorable.
• I'm getting another tattoo on my birthday. It's going to represent my life and the fact that I'm adopted, and that no matter what I've been through, I still am who I am. It's going to be done in black ink, cursive writing on the top of my left shoulder. "I am who I am"
• We are getting SO close to getting this house that we offered on. We're both getting so excited. We're already making plans of what we're going to do to it. Hardwood floors in the kitchen, half bath and laundry room, etc.
• I having thoughts of when I want to transition Chloe to a toddler bed. I really wanted to do it FOR SURE when we move. But I'd like her to be used to it before the, so that the move wouldn't be such a big deal for her. And because of the fact that I hope we're moved in before our trip to Maine in July...because I don't want to have to take a pack n' play with us, but would just like to be able to move a bed to the wall and use a portable rail...ahh, but I'm just so nervous to change her out of her crib. She sleeps sooo good now, and I worry that a toddler bed would give her so much freedom, that she might start protesting bed time. Any thoughts?
• Since I've started using MAC eye primer and foundation, I think that once I'm out of my cheapo bronzer, I want to buy some MAC bronzer.
• We got Water for Elephants from our Blockbuster online thing, and I am REFUSING to watch it until I'm done reading the book on my Kindle....But I haven't had ANY time to read the past few days...Grrr!!
• A few weeks back, I made a post about how Chloe really wasn't talking that much. Well, now...she won't stop. It's amazing! She's trying to say almost everything we say now. It's just nuts!
• I placed my very first Scentsy order this past weekend. I'm soooo excited to get it and start using it! Oh good lord...I have a feeling I'll be buying at LEAST another warmer, and I don't think I'll be able to stop buying the Scentsy scents bars!
• I can't decide if I want to make Chloe's big girl room Pink/Zebra, or if I want to go another route?????? HELP ME! Target has SOOOO many different pink/zebra options, I die a little every time I go in that place! They have rugs, lamps, AND bedding! I'm thinking Pink/White walls, and then all the accent pieces would be Zebra. What do you think?

Nothing Major Monday

I wish that I had something more interesting to blog about this monday...but I don't. Seems like a lot of the lovely ladies that I follow are all posting about pregnancies and all kinds of really great news....me...not so much. LOL! But I'm ok with that! We're not ready AT ALL for another pregnancy right now. We can't even move in our house that we have now....much less find a new house to move around in. LOL!
Speaking of new houses. Our search continues. We have seen so many houses, that I can't even count anymore. It's redonkulous....but I guess that's why they call it house hunting. We've seen quite a few that seemed to be great choices for us, but there was just 1 or 2 things that we couldn't stand about it. Or the main floor was PERFECT, but the upstairs had a REALLY narrow hallway, and the master bathroom SUCKED ass!! Or the house was like 90% there...had everything that we could have possibly wanted, but there was ABSOLUTELY NO backyard. UGH....so, for now the search continues. We have a very picky checklist that we just can't overlook. We are a family with a 15 month old toddler that is running around the house like she owns it, she's got A TON of toys, and clothes and shoes, and with Christmas right around the corner, she will be getting a TON MORE toys and clothes and shoes. LOL! Girl needs a play room AND a bigger closet. Momma and Daddy need more closet space. As we speak, all my clothes are STUFFED into a TINY ass closet in our bedroom...with literally NO more room to add. Husband has his shirts, hoodies and Jerseys hung on the top rack of Chloe's closet. And he has his work shirts and pants hung in the hallway closet with all of our fancy clothes hung on the door of the hallway closet by a screw that is hanging by literally a thread. And then he also has his jeans and shorts hung in the breezeway on a makeshift thing that we have in there...so there's that. Would you agree that we need a walk in closet that we can put ALL of our EVERY season clothes into, along with shoes and all that...um, YES PLEASE!
Also on the house checklist, We need a big back yard. Now, we're not talking about acres here...but something comparable to what we have now. As little as this house is, we do have a decent back yard. But with a growing toddler, that's just something that we would want. And if we even decide to expand our pet family to a dog...it would be nice to have.  
We also want a nice kitchen, and main floor laundry. If we LOVE the house, and the laundry is in the basement, that wouldn't be a detour-ant, but it's something that would be nice to have. Also, a nice living room...it's just a must for us! We need the room for Chloe to run around. She's been walking like a pro for the past month and a half, and she is currently working on her running skills. But she really doesn't have the room to do that right now. So, I'm sure she does all her best face planting running at day care during the week.
Oh, and last night I made the Bubble Up Enchiladas....thanks to Pinterest and Shannon Dew. It was so delish!! Up next for this week. Chicken and Cheese lasagna roll ups! I will let you know how they turn out! Our grocery shopping experience was interesting on Saturday night. I'd never bought feta or Ricotta before, so I had to ask for help. LOL!!
So, that's about it for this Monday. I really didn't have anything fun to blog about, so this was a poor excuse for something good...but I hope you all enjoy it. Stay tuned for "Ask me Anything" tomorrow!! This should be good!!

Fabulous Friday

After thinking long and hard about what to write about, I couldn't really think of anything. So, this is going to be a post of a lot of randomness. 
First of all, How was your Thanksgiving? Ours was just great! We thought that it wouldn't be. Chloe just wouldn't nap....we tried and tried and tried. We were able to get her to close her eyes for about 30 minutes. But after that, it was all done. Every time we tried to make her lay down, she just screamed. So we were done.  So we got all ready, got her ready and got everything in the car and were on our merry way. We hoped that she might fall asleep on the car ride. BUT, she didn't. We thought we were going to be doomed for the day. We thought that she was just going to be a crabby ass baby. But, to our surprise, she was actually really good. She was just walking around, looking at everyone. Playing with her Auntie Erin, and talking and babbling away. It was just so cute! I couldn't have been happier. As far as eating a great Thanksgiving dinner....well, Husband and I did good, but she, not so much. She ate a little bit of Turkey, and a little bit of mashed potatoes and some sweet potatoes. But she just wasn't all that interested. I thought that she would have just wanted everything. LOL! I tried to give her a piece of strawberry....Nope. Not so much. Tried a little piece of shrimp, and she seemed to like it, but I kind of freaked out a little bit. I didn't want her to have a bad reaction. So she didn't get anymore shrimp. 
So, besides all that, she did really good!
I'm not really sure where I thought I was going to be going with this post. It's clear that it's not going anywhere. Today I have to work. I'm scheduled 9-3, but I'm hoping that I get sent home early. It's going to be really slow, and Husband is home with Chloe. He's actually taking her to his Dad's house. So, I'm sure that's going to be fun for him....NOT! LOL!
Onto that business people like to get involved with called Black Friday Shopping...uh-how bout NO THANKS! I will pass on that! I mean, I'm not bashing it by any means, but I just don't think I would do it. Waking up in the Wee hours of the morning just to go stand in line and then get punched in the face while reaching for the last toy on the shelf....AHhh!! Just not my cup of tea. I'll stay home. And then get all my shopping done on Cyber Monday. That's the way I DO IT. I mean, we may go shopping a little bit this weekend to see if we can get some stuff for Chloe. But other then that...yep, not happenin'! But, to all of those who DO go out on Black Friday! Be safe! And I hope that you get everything that you need and want!
So, let's see...I think I'll stop with this not so exciting post. I'm sure I won't get any comments, or very much readers at that. LOL! I'll try and come up with some better posts for you next week.
