Meet my Husband

You all know and love the man that I refer to as Husband...he's my rock. My world, My everything. He's helped me through some pretty tough times in my life, and without him by my side, I'm not sure I would have made it through some of the obstacles I've overcome. I met him in July of 2004. We started officially dating in September of 2004. Married in July 2007 and welcomed our baby girl into the world in August 2010. It's been a crazy 8 years, but I wouldn't change a minute of it if I had the chance to. But, as you all know, I refer to him as Husband on this here blog....so I thought that it was time you all got to know him as I do. His name is Andrew. I call him Andy. Always have, always will....He's the man of my dreams, the man that I always knew that I would find someday. And I was so lucky to have found him when I did. He came to me at the perfect time in my life. And I think we were meant for each other. And he was meant to be this little Lady's Daddy! can you tell?! They are in love!!!

Ask Him Anything-Answers

So, here are the answers to the burning questions you girls had for Husband. I wasn't going to post this considering I only got 3 responses, but oh well...I really don't have anything else that I want to post for today. So, here's the questions with their answers.
Melissa from First Comes Love asked: How did you become so good at picking out clothing, shoes, jewelry, and other assorted gifts for your wife? I don't know any other man that does this, but I think it's a pretty awesome skill, and I would like to teach my husband to do the same... if that's even possible... :)-Answer: I like buying stuff for Crystal and I think I have a pretty good idea what she likes and what she looks good in. Sometimes I feel she wont buy something on her own cause she may not think it will look good on her where she thinks she may waste her money but if I buy and she doesn't feel like she wasted money. I think you really have to be in tune with the likes and dislikes but also I think she likes if I go outside of her comfort zone on gifts, and just understand the current trends.... Really I just like buying stuff for her! 
Mallory from I'm Mallory and these are my thoughts asked: I want to know what Andy's most memorable date with you was. :) -Answer: Probably the first "real" date, when we went out to play pool and she kicked my ass! It was good to see she wasn't afraid to dent my ego as a man and just show she was good  at pool. 
Lindsay over at From Nanny to Family asked: I want to know what Andy's drink of choice is. I love me some wine so I love to know others peoples choices.-Answer: I really don't venture out past Bud Light. I know pretty boring, I used to drink long island ice tea but not so much any more.
Kelly from Rantings of an Angry Woman asked: How did you know that she was the one?-Answer: It's was just one of those feelings. We seem to just click at the beginning, it didn't hurt that she was HOT...lol. But as we spent more time together it felt we were just made for each other. We are 6 years apart, which I know some people like to poke fun at me for, but I could care less what others think about me. Now that we have such a beautiful daughter that we both love more than anything it shows me that we are the ones for each other.

This time I'm going to put the ball in YOUR court....I've done this Q&A before, but it was for me. You asked me anything you wanted, and I answered....but this time-It's Husbands turn.I'm going to make Husband take the reigns for a day. Ask him ANYTHING you want, and I'll make him answer and post on Friday. He probably won't do a Vlog...but I'll ask him. LOL! He's kind of shy...maybe if I get a couple of beers in him, he will. On Tuesday I put the ball in your court. I told you that you could ask me ANYTHING you wanted...and well..here's the answers to all your burning questions!


From Laura over at Moments With The Mays: How did you meet your Husband? 
Well, Laura....kind of a funny story really. I was 18. I had just graduated from high school. My Mom and Dad threw me a graduation party up north at their cottage. I had a boyfriend at the time...and he wasn't being very cooperative about going up north. So we ALMOST missed my party! Andy was there with his best friend Corey, who is my brother-in-laws cousin. (small world huh?) So That weekend I noticed him...and he noticed me, but we really didn't talk much. So, some weekends after that, we were up north at the same time again, this time, me without a boyfriend, and well...we started talking. And then after that, he invited me to go up to East Lansing with him to party a little bit, and that was that. We were in love! I broke up with the boyfriend THAT weekend, and Andy and I started officially dating about a month later. 


Well, ladies. That was the only question I got. Crazy, I know...I thought I would have gotten a much bigger response then that. But oh well. Maybe next time.


So, with that all done. I thought I would just recap what's going on with us and our house hunting. We have yet to find a house to live in....but we did have a very nice couple walk through our house in hopes of renting it. That happened Thursday night. They seemed to REALLLY like it...and we REALLY liked them! They seemed perfect! They both had good, full time jobs. They are young, and they have a little dog. They really liked our house too. So that helps a lot. So we sent them the rental application and they are going to send us there pay stubs and what not so that we can get the credit check ran...if all that comes back good, then we're good to go. We take the security deposit, and we will move into Husbands parents "summer home". It's a little out of our way to live there, but it's the best option for us until we get a house. We won't have to pay rent, and it will help us to save money until we can get our own place. 
We are going to look at a house on Sunday. It's a short sale, so that kind of sucks....but we're trying to be positive about it. So, wish us luck on this journey we're about to take. If these renters DO end up moving in...we're gonna have to be packed and moved out by the end of January-early February. So that's pretty quick here...so lets hope that we can find a house to buy SOON!!!!!!!!!!!

A Little bit of Q & A

Q. Why did your Birth Mother give you up?
A. My Birth Mother gave me up because she was 15 years old and felt that partying and hanging out with the boys was more important....as does any 15 year old.
Q. Did you get in touch with your birth mother after talking to your half sister?
A. I did. I talked to her on Myspace a little here and there, and then on Facebook sometimes. I actually talked to her on the phone once. It was about 15 seconds of really awkward silence...after a Hi from me and then her...but that's been it. I told her that I was pregnant, and she seemed happy, but once I started asking her questions, she just stopped responding. And nothing since.
Q.Did your Parents ever explain why they never told you that you were adopted?
A. Yes, They said that it was for my own protection that I didn't find out. I probably would have never found out if it wasn't for my half sister finding me on Myspace. But now I have all the paperwork that was filed by the court and there are documents stating that I was supposed to find out. So they took it upon themselves to not tell me. They didn't want to hurt me.
Q. Is there another baby in the future?
A. It's a possibility. Not near....maybe like 3-5 years. We are content for now, but we both talk about another one every once in a while. We need a bigger house before that decision is made!!
Q. Can I take some family pics of you guys? (this one is from a good friend)
A. Absolutely!! We would love that!! Maybe Christmas?
Q. Do you think you will ever contact your Birth Mother?
A. I don't have any desire to. Unless there was an medical emergency, and I absolutely had to, I don't really want to. She kind of laid it out as far as what kind of relationship she wanted with me. I gave her a chance, and she ran it over with her car and spit rocks at me! That's how I feel about it. No need....
Q. What surprised you most about motherhood?
A. I think probably just how easy it's come for me. I thought that it was going to be really hard, and very emotional and all that. But it really hasn't been anything too crazy. I mean of course it's tough sometimes and emotionally exhausting at times, but the horror stories that I've heard.....NOTHING compared to how I'm experiencing it. I love it!
Q.What's your favorite part about being a Mommy?
A. I would have to say just the love that I feel from her everyday! It's amazing. I didn't know that something so small and doesn't really know anything could love you so much. It's the best thing when I pick her up from day care and she sees me and crawls as fast as she possibly can to me and just hugs me so tight when I pick her up. It's the most special feeling in the world!
