SO WHAT! Wednesday!

So What Wednesday

This week I’m saying SO WHAT! If:

  • I almost didn’t write this post….hence it’s lateness….I passed out last night and didn’t feel like doing anything.
  • I’ve been sick all week, went home early from work Monday, and didn’t do a damn thing last night.
  •  I’ve been sucking it up, but last night, I just couldn’t…..I was lazy and didn’t do anything. Hubs took Chloe for a bike ride, made her dinner, gave her a bath and put her to bed. I was so grateful for that.
  •  I’m going to the NKOTB, 98 degrees and Boyz to Men concert Saturday….nuff said.
  • After we do Chloe’s room, we’re done painting for awhile. That shit is expensive, and it’s starting to rack up….
  • It’s taking us as far as taking toys away from Chloe to get her to poo on the potty….and she still has accidents most of the time. But when we remind her, she does go. We just have to keep on her….
  • Chloe has a mind of her own, and I know we’ve had an angel up to this point, but I’m really not looking forward to her turning 3. I’m pretty sure it’s all going downhill at that point. Terrible 2’s did not grace us, but I think the Terrible 3’s will….Lord help us!
  • Chloe had her first dentist appt on Monday….and I’m thanking the teeth God’s that she won’t be needing braces!!! The dentist said her teeth look perfect and her spaces are right where they need to be! YAY!!!!
  • I did Zumba last Saturday and I was pretty much dead on Sunday. COULD NOT MOVE!

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

So What WednesdayThis week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

  • Chloe is on a breathing treatment for her lingering cough...my poor girl. But she actually loves it! She has an elephant mask and a fishy mask!
  • I said that I was going to wake up early and work out now that my schedule has changed....BUT.....I haven't. So, Kill me.
  • I still have my fall bucket list in a frame on my mantle.....fail!
  • I really don't have anything to say SO WHAT! to this week....
  • When I write my SWW posts, I always try to make the list of SW's go past the SWW button......once I reach that point, I don't feel like I haven't done enough. Weird, I know.
  • I really am trying to wish time by....just to March. It will be my 27th birthday, and also, Andy is graduating from school! Ugh, Thank Goodness!
  • We're going on our first date since October this weekend. I can't wait!
  • I have an addiction to Kiki La Rue....in a bad bad way. I have gotten 3 tops in a matter of about a month.

So What! Wednesday!

Linking up with Shannon over at Life After I "Dew" for another week of saying So What!
This week I'm saying So What! if:
  • It felt so good to have 3 out of my 5 day work week off last week. Even if it was because Chloe was sick, and then Friday, I was sick.
  • Monday, took Chloe to day care while Husband and I stayed home with Hand Foot Mouth. Yea, not fun. And not how I'd like to spend a day at home with Husband with no toddler. Just saying!
  • I finished 50 Shades of Grey, and have been sick, and contagious with Hand Foot Mouth, so haven't been able to enjoy the effects of the book.
  • We put an offer in on another house. End.Of.Story.
  • We have stopped the process on the short sale house we were in....YAY for that!!!!
  • I have Bloom AND Catching Fire on my Kindle ready to read...but I must finish all 3 50 Shades books first. MUST!
Well Ladies, I think that's all for me today. Thanks for reading! Go link up with Shannon over at Life After I "Dew"!!

Hand Foot Mouth

Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is a human syndrome caused by intestinal viruses of the Picornaviridae family. The most common strains causing HFMD are Coxsackie A virus and Enterovirus 71
HFMD usually affects infants and children, and is quite common. It is moderately contagious and is spread through direct contact with the mucus, saliva, or feces of an infected person. It typically occurs in small epidemics in nursery schools or kindergartens, usually during the summer and autumn months. The usual incubation period is 3–7 days.
Ok, I know you are probably thinking....why are you giving me the definition to this disease?? The answer to that is, Chloe has had this twice in the past, and just this past week came in contact with it for the 3rd time. Husband and I have never had any problems with catching it in the past, and it's not very common for adults to catch it. But, we did this time. And it's bad. It's horrible. It's not comfortable. AT ALL! Chloe was out of day care all last week. First she has a fever and didn't have much of an appetite. Took her to the Dr last Monday and he just said that she had a sore throat, so it was probably just a virus. So there was nothing they could do. Just give her motrin and lots of lovin'! So, we did that....and then within about a day or so started noticing the red blisters on her hands and feet. She actually first broke out of her back and that's why we thought that it wasn't the HFM. But we were wrong. So, anyways.....Took her back to the Dr on Thursday and he confirmed it IS HFM. So by that time she was pretty much all done with it. We just had to wait for the rash to go away.
So, fast forward a little bit to Thursday night. Husband texted me that he wasn't feeling good at work. I of course was just like whatever, your paranoid, Chloe's been sick, and you always think you are going to get sick when she does. So whatever. So, when he got home, he took his temperature and he was at about 100 ish. Within about 2 hours I was on the same road. My temperature shot up to about 101-102 and I was feeling miserable. Thank God it waited until Chloe was asleep so we could be miserable without having to handle her. So that was good. So, that night Husband and I layed on the couch for awhile and then went to bed. We both called into work the next day. And we just played with Chloe outside as much as possible. We actually started to feel better, but then Husband started noticing red dots on his hands. And that night we both developed a sore throat. His was a lot worse, so he went to Urgent Care. They gave him Zpac for Strep....but then the next day he developed a rash on his face...that happened while I took myself to Urgent Care for my sore throat. But I hadn't developed the rash yet. But that came along throughout the day. By Sunday we were both covered on our hands and feet. I had it pretty bad in my throat.
Monday we both still had the rash, so we had to call into work. I took Chloe to day care. So Husband is working from home, and I have allllll day to do nothing but blog. So that makes me happy. I'll be able to play catch up and hopefully get some posts written up. And maybe start reading Fifty Shades Darker. I finished 50 Shades last night! Yay!!

Pink Eye

And that's not referring to some super cute eye shadow. Nope. Chloe woke up Saturday morning with her eye almost completely glued shut with green gunk. We've noticed it being a little red the past few days, and she's developed a little bit of a cough. Only at night though. So, we took her in. Yep, she's got a bit of a cold, which in turn gave her pink eye. Wonderful. So here we are again...back to the eye drops 3 times a day for 7 days. Great!
Oh, the joys of having a Toddler in Day Care. It's just awesome. But you know what....there is a bright side to this craziness. The way Husband sees it. I would love to stay home with her so that she's not always surrounded by the runny nose ickiness of the other kids. BUT, because she's getting all this shit now, she is going to have the best toughest immune system once she gets into Kindergarten! So, that makes me feel just a little bit better about all this.
So, we got her script filled at Target. (the pharmacists seriously know us there now. And because we're there so often, they suggested that we sign up for the script rewards program. How effed up is that?! Well, we did. So for every 5 scripts we gets filled, we will get like 5% off every single thing we buy for a whole day. LOL! Doesn't sound like a lot, but I guess it's something to give us back with all the $$ we're spending on gosh damn scripts for all of us. Seems like every other weekend we're at the Pediatrician or urgent care. Whatever, I guess that just comes with the territory, right?
Chloe is doing really well, considering. She doesn't seem to be slowed down by the Pink Eye/Cold. All she wanted to do this weekend was go outside and play. Fine by us! We were loving it!!! She kept grabbing her coat (obviously she didn't need it) and her shoes and bringing them to us. She would hold them in front of her and say "soooes" So cute!!! Love that girl!
Here are a few pictures from this weekend. I just couldn't resist.

This is from Saturday. Her St. Patty's Day green was her Michigan State Cheerleader outfit!

This is Sunday Morning. She wanted to go outside soooo bad! She was trying to put her jacket on.

And this is her cute little butt....we were getting ready for bath time Sunday night. She wanted to go back outside. LOL!
Can I say one thing??? Do you see how long her hair is?! Oh My Gosh! Girl has Momma's hair! Grows like a weed!!!!!

This is how MY weekend went....

Friday night was good. Nothing big or horrible, except for the fact that my right eye was a little bit swollen. But, I kind of thought maybe that I just irritated it a little when I was cleaning my face. I don't know if it's just me and because I'm weird, but EVERY night, when I wash my face, I always kind of swoop my finger gently around the inside of my eye to get the goop/makeup out of there....so I thought that maybe I just irritated it a little bit when I did that, and that it would go away by morning.
Well, nothing was better when I woke up Saturday morning. It was actually a little bit worse. My eye wasn't swollen shut by any means, but it looked like I had a super bad bag under it. And the under side of my eye lid was REALLY red. Like, not normal. So, I gave it the rest of the day and said to Husband that if it wasn't any better in the morning that I was going to Urgent Care.
Well, Sunday Morning, I woke up and looked in the mirror. It definitely wasn't better. It was still swollen. So I got dressed, didn't even get Chloe dressed. She was still in her footed jammies, put her coat and hat on and we all jumped in the car. Husband didn't want to take Chloe in the waiting room, for good reason. So he dropped me off at the door and kept Chloe entertained while I was in there for an hour and a half.
With all that being said, after getting checked out and everything. Turned out that the Dr couldn't really even explain on point what was wrong with me. She said that it was EITHER pink eye or an allergic reaction to something. Unless I got pink eye from Chloe, I'm not sure how that would have happened. And she's been on Antibiotics for her ear infection, so if she did have it, and the antibiotics killed it before it was able to show up and I got it. I'm not sure. And, as far as an allergic reaction. I haven't changed anything as far as makeup or skin cleanser or anything. So that just confuses me....I'm not sure.
So anyways. I'm on Steroids 3 times a day for 6 days and eye drops 3 times a day for 10 days. So, that's fun. {Queue the sarcastic voice}
Makes me so mad because it seems like every time we have something planned, something happens to one of us. Our good friends Will and Cassie have twin girls that are turning 3. And there party was yesterday...and well, needless-to-say, I didn't get to go. In the event that it is pink eye that I have. I didn't want to spread that around. So Husband took Chloe for a little while so she could play with the other kids. And I just sat home and had a pitty party with myself. I'm just really hoping that everything goes back to normal by next Monday, since it is my Birthday. I'd like to be able to have a little bit of fun....
Well, thanks for listening to my rambling on about my horrid time this weekend. Hope everyone else had a better time then me.
