SO WHAT! Wednesday!

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

• We did NOTHING this Memorial Day.
• Hubs helped his Mom and Sister do some yard work.
• We got our Mulch and yard work done.
• Chloe still has been having problems pooing on the potty...up until last night, she magically decided she wanted to. We shall see if that continues.
• I got paid on Friday and I was broke on Friday....love that. Stupid sickies keeping me home 2 days the week before.
• We literally tried EVERYTHING to bribe Chloe to poo on the potty....even went as far as not letting her watch MMCH Monday night....
• The only blog post I wrote/posted last week was my SWW post....I know I've been bad lately, and I will get better. It's just hard for me to sit and write when it's nice outside.
• I finally passed the level I was stuck on in Candy Crush, so I've been obsessed with it lately.
• Since we lost a majority of our food when our Fridge broke last week, the weekly grocery trip basically was just to replenish that, and I didn't get much of anything to cook with this week....oh well. I'll manage until this week's grocery trip and try to keep it on the cheap side.
• It makes me sad that I can't help Chloe when she wakes from a night terror/growing pains in the middle of the night....but most of the time, all she wants is her Daddy.

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! If:

• Last week was the first time EVER since I've been blogging that I missed SWW! I blame it on vacation....and I just didn't feel like blogging, nor did I have anything to bitch about!
• We're ready for potty training...Chloe just needs to get her head in the game! She's totally aware of her bladder, and she knows how to hold it, she just needs to start becoming more consistent. We're getting there...
• When Chloe sees a new MMCH that she likes, she wants to watch it over and over and over and over again....so we have 2 episodes that are permanently saved on the DVR.
• I gained 3 lbs on vacation, and I call that a win! At least it wasn't 5!
• Andy and I both had to lay with Chloe last night because of the thunderstorm....she wasn't really scared, she just didn't want to be left alone. I was ok with that!
• I need to get some kind of tupperware drawer thing or something to store my Scentsy Bars....yes, I have that many. It's sick. What would you expect?
• I'm jealous of all you with nice weather this week...Michigan weather can suck it!

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! if:

• We went to our friends house for NYE and stayed out until about 10:00 and Andy stayed in the backseat with Chloe to keep her awake on the 4 minute drive home....lol! She was up watching MMCH until about 11pm!
• I feel like I need a vacation from my 11 day home-cation....but isn't that how it always goes?
• New Year to me means that I'm going to start major coupon clipping, trying to save more and plan grocery trips better.
• I let myself go over this holiday season. I'm not sure how much weight I've gained, and I don't really want to know. But starting today, I'm getting back on the MFP wagon, and I'm hoping that by next week, I'll weight in around what I was before the holidays.
• Chloe had a meltdown over her friends having Harmonica's and she couldn't use them, so we bought her one....oh lord help us!
• I'm so glad Football season is over.....SOOOOO glad!
• Chloe conked out before 8 last night! Going to bed at 11 the night before, and no nap yesterday....she was DONE!
• My New Years Resolution is simple.....but oh so hard for me to do....drink more WATER!

Dream Lite

Yes, this thing has been our God Send! I told you all before that since Halloween, Chloe hasn't fallen asleep in her bed at all. She refused to lay down. So I just took it as it was and would let her watch TV on the couch and fall asleep in my arms and then would carry her upstairs. Well....Husband and I were both to the point where we were just done with that. She needed to get back in her bed. So, Memaw bought her this Unicorn thing for Christmas. I had been looking at different options for different lights and things that she could sleep with, but hadn't actually bought anything yet. So, when she opened this thing up this past weekend, I thought, well....it will either work, or it won't. So let's try it!

Saturday night we put her in her Jammies at Memaws house before we left to go home. It's about a 5-10 minute drive home and she almost fell asleep by the time we pulled in the driveway. So I took her inside, took her coat off and we took her upstairs to her room, Dream Lite in tow.

We put her in bed, and at first she sat right up and started fussing a little bit. I turned on the Dream Lite and showed her the starts and lights on the ceiling and told her to lay down and count the stars. So, she did that, and literally fell asleep instantly! I blamed in on the fact that she was super tired. It was after 8pm and she didn't nap that day (or any day that she's home with us).

Onto Sunday. Again, no nap....so around 7:30-8-ish, we put Mickey on the TV and gave her some milk so she could relax a little bit after her bath. Half way through Mickey her eyes were starting to get heavy. So we grabbed Lovey and took her upstairs. Again, put her in bed and she sat up and didn't want anything to do with bed. So we did exactly what we did the night before. Showed her the stars on the ceiling and she instantly laid down and snuggled up to her Lovey and pressed the button on the Dream Lite a few times until I said, "Ok, time to close your eyes" Tucked her hand in her blanket and she fell right to sleep! I couldn't believe it. Was it really this easy?! Has this really been the answer we've been looking for? It's been almost 2 months since we've been able to put her in bed awake and this is all it took?! Omg, I was dumbfounded and happy and excited all at the same time! FINALLY!!!!!

So, Monday night rolled around....we did bath, Jammies, Milk and Mickey, just the same as we always do. Monday is usually a late night because she actually naps at day care, so we got through an entire episode of Mickey, and then we told her it was nuh night time and she grabbed Lovey and we went upstairs. Laid her down, and she really didn't even fight this time. Took a little coaxing, but for the most part, she laid right down, pressed the button on the Dream Lite a few times until I tucked her arms in, and within 10 minutes, she was OUT! Andy and I snuck out, closed her door and BOOM! DONE! This Mamma is one happy camper!!!!!!!

I know it'll probably be a little while before I will be able to leave her still awake, but I'm ok with that. We will take baby steps. This is better then it's been in almost 2 months, so I'll take it!

Fab Friday

I apologize ahead of time because I'm not writing this ahead of time like I usually do....last night after the Toddler went to bed, we wrapped a bunch of Christmas Presents. And we didn't get to bed until after 11pm. So I had no time to write, or did I even have the time to think about what to write....but anyways, here's what's Fab in my life right now!

• Coffee....It's my Savior. I wouldn't make it through my day without it. Under no circumstances do I ever not drink coffee. That's all.
• Coffee Creamer....I can't drink coffee without it. I've actually accustomed myself to drinking it without sugar now. So that's good. But creamer is a must. My fave as of late has been the International Delights. I love the Peppermint Mocha one! YUM!!!
• Now, I'm not sure if I've mentioned this before on Fab Friday, but I'm going to now....Mickey Mouse Clubhouse! Our mornings would probably be a lot more crazy without it. Chloe looks forward to watching it in the morning, and that allows me to get her breakfast together, and mine as well and then get ready before Daddy comes downstairs. It's awesome!

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! if:

• Seeing everyone posting pregnancy announcements really makes my uterus ache....but I know deep down I don't want that right now. So I just need to breath deep and wait for my friend to have her baby in Feb!
• I'm happy for Janelle that she came to terms with her Mom and decided to come back and take care of Jace....but lets face it, she will leave again. 
• I'd like to watch the news or something in the morning, but the toddler kind of takes the TV over....with MMCH.
• I woke up late this morning so I'm writing this at 6:45 am...trying to get it done before I have to leave for work at 7!
• I was trying to type too fast and almost deleted everything I had to this point on the last bullet....I almost cried.
• I'm wearing Jeans to work today because it's jeans day.....and because I want to save my good jeans for this weekend, I'm wearing a pair of size 9's....no that's not what size I wear....yes, they are WAY too big. But they are skinnies, so they only FEEL big!
• My phone is SO smart that it runs all kinds of updates at night and runs the battery out to the point that my alarm doesn't go off in the morning....gah!
• Pretty sure it's going to be Pizza and Wings for dinner tonight. Andy's cousin from Chicago is coming into town....boys....yea!

So What! Wednesday!

This week I'm saying SO WHAT! if:

• I had a great time on Vacation, but I'm so happy to be home!!
• From what we experienced on vacation, I'm starting to think that Chloe is better off without her naps..
• We got $100 each in our Anniversary card from MIL and it's already gone....on what you ask? Grocery shopping. #gettingold
• I JUST discovered Hulu
• Chloe is seriously obsessed with Mickey Mouse Clubhouse. Like, she refuses to watch anything else.
• Husband and I may or may not have smoked the entire time we were on vacation, and we have already quit....that's what vacation does to us, I guess...

Friday Letter's {From Maine}

Linking up with Ashley at Adventures of Newlyweds for another Friday Letters! This week I'm writing from Maine. We're actually on our way home today. So this was typed out on Tuesday night because that's the only time that I really had to blog. So, here we go.


Dear Maine, Thank you for your hospitality! As weird as your culture is compared to Michigan, we had a F**king BLAST!!! Dear Chloe, you are an amazing little girl! With the exception of the few meltdowns you did have, you were amazing on this trip! We couldn't have asked for anything better! Thank you! Dear Will and Cassie, I want to thank you guys for spending this week with us! It was great to spend the time with you guys and the girls and I can't wait for what's ahead in your lifes! Sooooo exciting! Dear Husband, You're a trooper, FOR SURE! I know that it's tough vacationing with a toddler, but you rocked it out! Dear Mother In Law, Thank you for watching over our new house and making sure that our kitty was fed and safe! We appreciate you more then you will ever know! Dear MMCH, thank you for being invented! I'm sure without you we would have had a screaming toddler for a full 20 hour drive to Maine and HOME! That would not have been fun....
