Fab Friday!

Linking up with the always Fabulous and ridiculously adorable Mommy and preggo, Laura to tell you all what's fabulous in  my life right now!

  • Weight Loss - Slowly but surely I'm losing the weight that I want to lose for our Florida trip at the end of March! I'm so happy about the way it's coming off. First goal was to hit 120, and now that I've surpassed that, I'm going for 115! I know that I can do it! I know that once we get to Florida and are in vaca mode, we're going to gain a little bit back, but I fully intend to keep with the MFP and try to keep working out (or shall I say, start) while we're down there.
  • Pants that haven't fit in 3 years - To add to the first bullet point on losing the weight, I was able to fit into a pair of pants that haven't really fit me since before Chloe was conceived. That was an amazing feeling yesterday! For the past few months, I feel like I've worn nothing but leggings and stretchy pants....and yesterday I was just not in the mood for leggings. So glad I took that leap. Made me a happy girl!
  • Potty Training - We aren't really training, per say, but she's now telling us when she needs to go, sometimes....sometimes it's after she's already gone, but that's a major step for us! She's understanding more and more that she's wet and needs to be changed. And she's actually interested in sitting on the potty more and more now. So I feel like we're getting somewhere. And that makes me happy. Will we be trained before we go to Florida, probably not. But that's ok with me.
  • New Room at Day Care - She's loving it! And let me tell you, I think it's that she's trying to keep up with the big kids, but good lawd, she's tried at night, and I love it! She hasn't really been fighting bed time....(except last night) but I think that was our fault. But she's doing great, her teachers are great, and once she gets settled in her new room, they are going to REALLY push potty training! And I think that when she sees all her friends going potty and wearing undies and using the potty on a norm, she's going to get it and do it right along with them! I cannot wait! No more diapers in our near future!
  • And last but not least....Tuesday is my birthday! I'm actually pretty excited. I get the day off work....PAID! And Hubs is taking the day off work to spend it with me while Chloe goes to day care. I cannot wait! We're actually going to get our eyes checked together. HA! That should be interesting....his first time every getting his eyes checked, and well, I'm going because I need new glasses. So it should be fun. Lunch at PF Changs, and it should be a good day!

Fab Friday

It's been a few weeks since I've linked up with the Always Fabulous Laura from The Everyday Joys! She's amazing in every single way a blogger can be, and to top it all off, she's on my Scentsy team....(or shall I say, I'm on hers....lol) Anyways, here is my list of Fab things that are....well....Fab for me:

  • Our Day Care Tuition goes down starting today! We prepay for the 2 weeks ahead, and Chloe starts room 6 on Monday, so today's Tuition payment is $470 instead of $570! Sucks that we have to start supplying them with diapers, but that's only until she is potty trained! Thank the dear lord!
  • The scale has been fabulous for me this week...it actually hasn't moved up or down, and for me, that's a win! I don't care that I don't see it moving, as long as it's not going up, that works for me. I've been VERY VERY consistent with my tracking calories and I've been under, or over by very little for the past month! So that, for me is awesome!
  • Only 5 more weeks until we go to Florida and I have pretty much everything Chloe and I need as far as warmer weather clothing goes! I am sooooo stoked! She's got a few new pairs of shorts, some summer dresses, and some amazingly cute pink canvas TOMS that I ordered from Zulily yesterday! I cannot wait to get them! I just hope they make it here before we leave.....
  • My work girls are amazingly sweet in that they are all helping me meet my goals for Scentsy this month.....AND because they are ordering from me, I will be able to get some stock for my parties and order some of the scents that are being discontinued! I am Soooooo excited!
  • And last but not least, and maybe possibly one of the best things, because it's the one happening the soonest.....tomorrow me and my girl Mallory are getting matching tattoos! Just little outlines of hearts on out ankles. I cannot wait!
  • Oh, and to top that off....My birthday is March 5th! YAY!

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

So What Wednesday
This week I'm saying SO WHAT! if:

  • Truth be told, I haven't really even given potty training a chance....kind of scares me.
  • I was just going to let Day Care potty train Chloe, because I mean, we pay them enough, don't we? me.think.so
  • I think I'm going to attempt PT this weekend with some Princess Panties due to Shannon's success story from her Fab Friday post last week!
  • I won money from the Super Bowl and I'm going to buy Chloe and myself some stuff for our Florida trip! Oh and I bought myself a lunch tote from ThirtyOne!
  • I am giddy excited for Husband to be done with school! MARCH 18th!!!!!
  • Today is the first time this week we've gotten up at 5am to work out. I went to bed Sunday not feeling well, and didn't feel like waking up on Monday Morning, and Andy wasn't feeling good on Tuesday....so today, we are BACK AT IT!
  • My cat is just as spoiled as our daughter....she gets tuna every day when we get home. And she whines and whines until she gets it.
  • Sometimes I'm secretly sad that Chloe is getting so big, so fast. I just want her to be a baby again...
  • I'm over my baby fevah! Yep, just like that, but I only give it a few weeks until it's back, because by then, my BFF Cassie will have her new baby boy, and I get to snuggle a newbie again....oh.....my heart will melt, I'm sure!
  • I love my hair more every time I see it in the mirror...BUT....I'm thinking next time I get it cut (right before we leave for FL) I'm going to have my Janie Poo cut it a BIT shorter in the back!
Head on over to Life after I "Dew" and tell us what you are saying SO WHAT! to this week!

Dream Lite

Yes, this thing has been our God Send! I told you all before that since Halloween, Chloe hasn't fallen asleep in her bed at all. She refused to lay down. So I just took it as it was and would let her watch TV on the couch and fall asleep in my arms and then would carry her upstairs. Well....Husband and I were both to the point where we were just done with that. She needed to get back in her bed. So, Memaw bought her this Unicorn thing for Christmas. I had been looking at different options for different lights and things that she could sleep with, but hadn't actually bought anything yet. So, when she opened this thing up this past weekend, I thought, well....it will either work, or it won't. So let's try it!
Saturday night we put her in her Jammies at Memaws house before we left to go home. It's about a 5-10 minute drive home and she almost fell asleep by the time we pulled in the driveway. So I took her inside, took her coat off and we took her upstairs to her room, Dream Lite in tow.
We put her in bed, and at first she sat right up and started fussing a little bit. I turned on the Dream Lite and showed her the starts and lights on the ceiling and told her to lay down and count the stars. So, she did that, and literally fell asleep instantly! I blamed in on the fact that she was super tired. It was after 8pm and she didn't nap that day (or any day that she's home with us).
Onto Sunday. Again, no nap....so around 7:30-8-ish, we put Mickey on the TV and gave her some milk so she could relax a little bit after her bath. Half way through Mickey her eyes were starting to get heavy. So we grabbed Lovey and took her upstairs. Again, put her in bed and she sat up and didn't want anything to do with bed. So we did exactly what we did the night before. Showed her the stars on the ceiling and she instantly laid down and snuggled up to her Lovey and pressed the button on the Dream Lite a few times until I said, "Ok, time to close your eyes" Tucked her hand in her blanket and she fell right to sleep! I couldn't believe it. Was it really this easy?! Has this really been the answer we've been looking for? It's been almost 2 months since we've been able to put her in bed awake and this is all it took?! Omg, I was dumbfounded and happy and excited all at the same time! FINALLY!!!!!
So, Monday night rolled around....we did bath, Jammies, Milk and Mickey, just the same as we always do. Monday is usually a late night because she actually naps at day care, so we got through an entire episode of Mickey, and then we told her it was nuh night time and she grabbed Lovey and we went upstairs. Laid her down, and she really didn't even fight this time. Took a little coaxing, but for the most part, she laid right down, pressed the button on the Dream Lite a few times until I tucked her arms in, and within 10 minutes, she was OUT! Andy and I snuck out, closed her door and BOOM! DONE! This Mamma is one happy camper!!!!!!!
I know it'll probably be a little while before I will be able to leave her still awake, but I'm ok with that. We will take baby steps. This is better then it's been in almost 2 months, so I'll take it!
Thank you Dream Lite! Best $30 ever spent!!!

SO WHAT! Wednesday!

So What Wednesday
This week I'm saying SO WHAT! if:

  • We probably aren't getting the Galaxy S 3....we don't want to pay $199 for it :-( Guess we will wait until it goes on sale somewhere.
  • I'm kind of way to excited about Fall TV! TVD!! Yay!!!
  • Scentsy has been really slow for me in October. I guess I should have known after exceeding $1,000 in September. Lets just hope my 2 parties bring in some $$!
  • I have a feeling I have gained a lot of weight this week....I haven't been watching what I'm eating AT ALL, and we did NOT start working out. UGH, whatever, so sue me.
  • I kind of wish Chloe had never discovered Barney....gah! I could deal with Mickey 10x over Barney.
  • We paid $54 for Chloe's "school pictures"! Seriously?! She's 2, and in DAY CARE!!!! Ugh, SHOOT me! Lucky this girl is so gosh darn cute that I couldn't bare the thought of NOT getting them!
  • Chloe's Halloween costume is a hand-me-down butterfly from our friends with Twin Girls! Love them, and love the fact that we didn't pay for a new costume this year! Yea!!!!
  • I am patiently waiting for my friend Cassie to have her baby so that I can cure my baby fevah without actually having a baby myself. LOL! She's only like 21 weeks.....the next 20 weeks better FLY by!
That's all I have for this week! Make sure to go link up with Shannon over at Life After I "Dew" and tell us what you're saying SO WHAT! to this week!

Moved In

Alright Guys, I'm going to warn you....my blogging is probably going to suck here for the next week or so. We're feverishly working to get everything organized and put away in our new house. I'm hoping that we have it clean enough so that I can post about the house with some photos and possibly a tour video next week! That will be my goal! But for now, here is what's happened so far.
Chloe's room was the first to get put together. We just didn't want her to miss a beat. She has yet to nap in her new room though. Saturday was moving day and there was just too much going on, and her bed wasn't set up until night time. And then Sunday was spent at the "old" house packing more stuff and painting Chloe's "old room". So she got a little itty bitty nap in the car, but nothing to brag about. And then she's been at day care like normal this week....so we shall see some Saturday how she naps in her new room. We just bought some room darkening blinds last night. I'm pretty excited about those! Originally I wanted to get them in brown because we have decided to paint her room the same as it was back at the other house. {pink and green} But we went to a new Target, out by our new house, and they didn't have the brown ones that I wanted. So instead, we got pink and green. So, what we're going to do is paint the wall that her crib is on pink because the curtain next to that is green, and then the wall that the closet is on, is going to be painted green because for one, that's the smallest area to paint, and the green is a little over powering for a whole wall. And so with the curtains, it will have the effect that all the walls are painted. So I'm thinking it will look really good. And then eventually, like within the next few months, we will paint the walls with the curtains white. But, just not yet. There is no need for that yet. And by that I mean, I don't feel like it.
As for the Family room and our bed room....we got the furniture for those delivered yesterday. For our Furniture we got a sectional with an ottoman. And boy let me tell you, it's super comfy! It's a bit bigger then what we had originally planned, but the way we have it set up, it kind of sections off the room, and gives Chloe a little bit of play area behind it. So that's nice!! And our Master Bedroom furniture is just to DIE for! It's dark brown. We got the bed, 2 nightstands and a dresser with a mirror. I can't wait for you guys to see it!!!!
Alright, I'm done talking your ear off now....I'll work my ass off to get everything in working/organized order and make sure that I have a post with pics/video for your viewing pleasure next week!

Toddlerhood

Sometimes I really wonder....am I cut out for this shit? It's hard to say. I mean, I love my daughter. More then I could love anybody in this world....(besides my Hubs, of course) and I would give her anything and do anything for her! She's my life! But this damn Toddler thing just gets to me sometimes. One day she's a sweet as pie. Does everything right, naps at the perfect time, even comes to me when she's wet! Like, why can't you be like that EVERYDAY?!?! And then there are the days when she just wakes up and I'm like Oh NO! Please, just go back to bed....you're not ready to face the day today....lets just press restart!

Let's talk about eating: My girl can eat. When she feels like it. But sometimes, it's a whole lot of nothingness going in that belly of hers. But there is really nothing else that I can do. I try EVERYTHING, and when I've pretty much fed everything I've made for her to the trash can, all I have left is a nutrigrain bar, and boy oh boy does she gobble that up?! Ok, whatever you say kid...if that's what you want, that's what you get!

Nap Time: Ok. So you are all aware that we made the big switchero to the toddler bed a few weeks ago. And Chloe has done GREAT! She hasn't fallen out of it ONCE, and we've only really had a few instances of her getting out of bed at bed time, but she went right back down, no problem! Nap time usually goes a little something like this. We eat lunch, and then she gets her milk, and she usually grabs Lovey and Bucky and comes over to me and hands me the remote. That means she wants to watch either Sesame Street or MMCH and relax for a little while before nap time. And then sometimes she will fall asleep in my arms, and other times I will have to rub her back a little bit to fall asleep in her bed. Either way. For the most part, she's a fantastic sleeper! And bed time is no exception. Sometimes it takes 20 minutes, sometimes it takes 40 minutes. But once she's asleep, she's out for the night. THANK GOD! But seriously, when she's like RIGHT THERE! Just about ready to close her eyes and drift off into dreamland, BOOM! She picks her head up and flips around....GAH! JUST GO TO SLEEP, KID!!!!! Seems like she does anything and everything just to stay awake. When she really is making it harder on herself.

Day Care: I know that I've said it a time or two....I literally HATE that somebody else is raising my child. Husband says that he doesn't feel the same way. I do, and I don't. I know the toddler interaction is good for her. I know that she's learning and growing and that they take really good care of her there. And that melts my heart. But I hate giving these people money to watch my child. Because that could me money that I could spend on her/save and I could be the one raising her....that would be ideal, but right now we can't do that.

My girl is really the light to my everyday! She's my sunshine and she's what makes me complete. She's the one that made me a Mommy, and she makes me so proud every single day! She learns and discovers more and more every day, and I love the look on her face when she figures something out. And how she says "Yayyyyy" and claps! It's just the cutest thing. Or how when we ask her a yes or no question, and she answers correctly. It's just amazing! She's been such a good girl lately with us being sick. It seems as though she really understands. And I really appreciate that from her! She's a good girl, and I love her with all of my heart!

So What! Wednesday!

Linking up with Shannon over at Life After I "Dew" for another week of saying So What!
This week I'm saying So What! if:
  • It felt so good to have 3 out of my 5 day work week off last week. Even if it was because Chloe was sick, and then Friday, I was sick.
  • Monday, took Chloe to day care while Husband and I stayed home with Hand Foot Mouth. Yea, not fun. And not how I'd like to spend a day at home with Husband with no toddler. Just saying!
  • I finished 50 Shades of Grey, and have been sick, and contagious with Hand Foot Mouth, so haven't been able to enjoy the effects of the book.
  • We put an offer in on another house. End.Of.Story.
  • We have stopped the process on the short sale house we were in....YAY for that!!!!
  • I have Bloom AND Catching Fire on my Kindle ready to read...but I must finish all 3 50 Shades books first. MUST!
Well Ladies, I think that's all for me today. Thanks for reading! Go link up with Shannon over at Life After I "Dew"!!

Hand Foot Mouth

Hand, foot and mouth disease (HFMD) is a human syndrome caused by intestinal viruses of the Picornaviridae family. The most common strains causing HFMD are Coxsackie A virus and Enterovirus 71
HFMD usually affects infants and children, and is quite common. It is moderately contagious and is spread through direct contact with the mucus, saliva, or feces of an infected person. It typically occurs in small epidemics in nursery schools or kindergartens, usually during the summer and autumn months. The usual incubation period is 3–7 days.
Ok, I know you are probably thinking....why are you giving me the definition to this disease?? The answer to that is, Chloe has had this twice in the past, and just this past week came in contact with it for the 3rd time. Husband and I have never had any problems with catching it in the past, and it's not very common for adults to catch it. But, we did this time. And it's bad. It's horrible. It's not comfortable. AT ALL! Chloe was out of day care all last week. First she has a fever and didn't have much of an appetite. Took her to the Dr last Monday and he just said that she had a sore throat, so it was probably just a virus. So there was nothing they could do. Just give her motrin and lots of lovin'! So, we did that....and then within about a day or so started noticing the red blisters on her hands and feet. She actually first broke out of her back and that's why we thought that it wasn't the HFM. But we were wrong. So, anyways.....Took her back to the Dr on Thursday and he confirmed it IS HFM. So by that time she was pretty much all done with it. We just had to wait for the rash to go away.
So, fast forward a little bit to Thursday night. Husband texted me that he wasn't feeling good at work. I of course was just like whatever, your paranoid, Chloe's been sick, and you always think you are going to get sick when she does. So whatever. So, when he got home, he took his temperature and he was at about 100 ish. Within about 2 hours I was on the same road. My temperature shot up to about 101-102 and I was feeling miserable. Thank God it waited until Chloe was asleep so we could be miserable without having to handle her. So that was good. So, that night Husband and I layed on the couch for awhile and then went to bed. We both called into work the next day. And we just played with Chloe outside as much as possible. We actually started to feel better, but then Husband started noticing red dots on his hands. And that night we both developed a sore throat. His was a lot worse, so he went to Urgent Care. They gave him Zpac for Strep....but then the next day he developed a rash on his face...that happened while I took myself to Urgent Care for my sore throat. But I hadn't developed the rash yet. But that came along throughout the day. By Sunday we were both covered on our hands and feet. I had it pretty bad in my throat.
Monday we both still had the rash, so we had to call into work. I took Chloe to day care. So Husband is working from home, and I have allllll day to do nothing but blog. So that makes me happy. I'll be able to play catch up and hopefully get some posts written up. And maybe start reading Fifty Shades Darker. I finished 50 Shades last night! Yay!!

EFF Day Care!

I really wish that I could be a SAHM! In all seriousness, if we could afford it, I'd quit my job RIGHT NOW, today! But I can't. That makes me one sad Mamma! I don't get to see my girl at all during the day. I don't get to play with her, and watch her learn new things. I don't get to cuddle her when she takes her afternoon nap. I don't get to feed her and watch her play with her friends. I missing out on so much and it seriously kills me inside. She gets sick from being around all those other snot nosed, coughing, sneezing kids...and my heart just aches when she gets sick.
Today, for instance. We woke up to do our normal morning routine to get ready for work and day care. Husband woke Chloe up to get her ready to eat some "wobbles" (Waffles) LOL! And noticed some red boils on her hands, and some on her knees, and there was a little big of red dots on her feet. Last night after her bath I noticed the same red boil things on her butt. Not like diaper rash area, but like on the outside where the diaper elastic part would be. And that was still there this morning. First thing that came to mind. Hand Foot Mouth....UGH! NOT AGAIN....this will be the 3rd time poor girl has had it. So, I called the dr, made an appt to go in. THANK GOD! Today is her 15 month appt anyways. So I just made the appt for earlier. Our original was at 4:50. So 1:30 we'll be going in. Unfortunately, Daddy won't be able to attend, cuz if it IS HFM, he's gonna have to stay at home with her tomorrow. Thank God for the Holiday. Thursday being Thanksgiving, and Friday no day care, and Daddy has Friday off too. So that works out for me.
So, as you can see, I hate seeing my girl exposed to all this stuff, and I can't do anything about it! Breaks my Mamma heart! But one day....Hopefully sooner then later. I'll be able to kiss my work life goodbye, and get to spend every minute that I can enjoying my little bubbly girl as she grows up!
