Another House Update

Tuesday night I was sitting on the couch, Chloe on my left with her head on my shoulder watching MMCH on my computer while I had my screen split so I could write my SWW post and keep my Toddler sane because Husband was laying on the ground on his computer doing homework. I got a pop up from my gmail with an email from our Real Estate Agent. My heart jumped thinking that it might have been good news that we were going to be closing soon. So I opened the email, and to my disappointment, it was not about us closing, but rather that the mortgage insurance company has declined our offer.
So, fast forward to Wednesday night.
Our Mortgage guy called and explained the process to us more. So basically....we have NOT lost the house. We have a chance at it. It's gonna go back to a regular short sale. We will have to sign more papers saying that we still want the house and that we are in contract for another 30 days or something. But we're going to continue to look for houses. Well, I shouldn't say continue. I should say we're going to start looking at houses again...we haven't looked since February when we found this house. So. We are under contract with this short sale. We are going to look at other houses. Hope that we get the house that we really want.
The renters, you say? Well, they are moving in on June 29th. Which means we are moving out the week of June 18th. We are going to move into Husbands parents house. They have 2 houses. They will be moving out of one and into another in the next few weeks. So that's going to be perfect. Husbands sister is moving out to go to college this summer, so we are going to ask her in she minds that we move Chloe into her room. I'm sure she won't mind. She's the best Auntie Chloe could ask for!!
So, that's where we're at.....We freaked out on Tuesday when we got the news of it falling through, but now that we know that we have the chance to get the house back. We both feel a little bit better. It's going to be tough to have to look still though. And if we do get the house, we have to come up with some money that the previous homeowners owed that they didn't pay. So that's going to be like $1500 that we will have to come up with. But we're ok with that. We love this house.
So pray for us! Pray to whatever it is that you pray to, cuz Lord knows we need all the hopes and wishes and finger crossin' that we can get! Thanks, Ladies!

So What! Wednesday

Linking up with Shannon over at Life After I "Dew" for another week of saying So What!
This week I'm saying So What! If:
  • The stress level that Husband and I have over this house shit is not healthy.
  • Chloe is the only thing that keeps us sane right now.
  • Even she can't manage that sometimes....
  • We don't really keep our house clean now that we don't have to show it to renters.
  • I'm totally smitten by Mr. Grey. I have dreams about elevators. ;-)
  • I feel like we kind of pushed Chloe to grow up last week with all the changes....BUT, she took to everything REALLY well! New room at day care...Check! Big Girl Bed....Check! New sippy cups...Check! I love my big girl!
  • I complain about my period EVERY month...but secretly, I love it! Um...Hello, it's a sure sign that my IUD works like it should! LOVES IT!
  • I weighed myself before and after I ate lunch last week...gained 1.8 lbs! How crazy is that?! So, technically I was 122.2. But what was documented at Weight Watchers was 123.4...still down from 124. So I was good with that!

That's all for now! Leaving you to go read 50 Shades of Grey....
Go link up with Shannon over at L.A.I.D!!

House Update

I know that my last House Update stated that we were going to be closing on or by May 3rd...well that date has come and gone, and we're still waiting for word from the bank. Sucks, and it's making it hard for us, because we have people that have given us a deposit to rent our house. The last that we heard from our Real Estate Agent is that they expect us to be able to close by the end of May. SO we are REALLY hoping that this happens! Either way, the couple WILL be moving into our house by end of June. And if we don't have the keys to our house yet, then we're gonna have to move into Husbands Mom's house. Not ideal, but it will give us the time that we need, and also allowing us to save some money for a little while until we have that 2nd mortgage to pay. It won't be horrible either because Husbands Mom and Step Dad move to their Lake House when the kids get out of school for the summer, and we will be moving into their other house. Probably set Chloe's crib up in the basement.....maybe? I honestly don't know. We shall see how this next couple of weeks pans out. It should get pretty interesting if we don't get the bank to do what they need to do. We were hoping to hear something from the last week, and that didn't happen....so lets hope that we hear something soon.
Wish us luck ladies. We would like to own this home sooner rather then later. As in BEFORE July, preferably. We're going on vacation in July, and Chloe's 2nd birthday is August 20th. So I'd like to be able to have her party at our new house! So....keep those fingers and toes crossed! Thanks Girls!!

So What! Wednesday!

Linking up with Shannon over at Life After I "Dew" for another So What Wednesday!
This week I'm saying So What! If:
  • I went to the Dr on Monday because I've been having some pain in my right boob....I didn't know what it was, and piece of mind is worth a million to me.
  • I could watch Chloe eat alllll day long. Considering she has been a Non Eater for the past few months, and now she finally has her appetite back. YAY!!
  • I entered Chloe in the Gap Casting Call....yep, That Mom!
  • I hate that Husband is in school....I hate even more that he has like a WHOLE year left.
  • I hate that me and my cousin Shannon live so far apart!
  • I hate this gosh darn MI weather. Why can't we just be into Summer yet?!
  • Sometimes I just want to throw all of Chloe's noise making toys across the room and hope that they shatter to little teeny tiny pieces.
  • First thing to buy for the new house is baby gate for the staircases.....*see also* Toddler loves to climb stairs...up and down and up and down and up and down...and.....you get the point.
  • I have spent all my time at night on my Kindle...I can't get ENOUGH of The Hunger Games
  • I'm so short that when we went to look at washers and dryers, I had to "test" the height on the stackables....yep. That's going to be the only way we get a stackable. If my little 5 foot 1 inch stature can reach the damn buttons on the top.
  • I just want to put all our clothes in our new closet at our new house (that we don't have yet)....that's 1 thing I'm super excited for. Due to the fact that a lot of my clothes sit on the dresser due to NOT FITTING in mine....
That's all for me for today. Thanks for reading. And go link up with Shannon!!

Introducing, The New House!!

Saturday we went to our new house. (I can't help calling it that, even though we haven't closed on it yet)
Husband measured all the windows for treatments and the rooms for carpet. Also, the kitchen for new appliances. We're going to need washer and dryer too, but we're just going to get a stackable. So that's not going to be any issue.
So, anyways....the point of this post is just to show you guys what the inside looks like. I took all our before pictures.

and finally....

There you have it. That's our new house....we're still waiting on confirmation of closing. Sometime between now and May 3rd. And then the remod begins!

House Update

Since I can't wait any longer, here's the outside of it!!!
Seriously, have never been so excited ever in my life!!!! Well, except for when we found out we were pregnant. But that was a different kind of excited. This excited, is like...ok. So, we're got our little family, but we need a bigger house. We have been looking and looking, and then finally found THAT house. Of course it was a short sale, so it was going to take forever! Right?! WRONG!
3 short months ya'll! 3 MONTHS! I can't believe it!!
We got the call from our Real Estate Agent on Monday. I was home sick ALLLL day. Husband went golfing cuz he had the day off work. When we got home with Chloe around 3:30 ish, I ate some of the food he brought home for me. And then he played with Chloe while I layed on the couch. He took her outside, and then fed her dinner, and then gave her a bath. While he was getting her jammies on, his phone rang. It was the real estate agent! She told us that all we needed was the final approval from the bank. We should have that within the week. And they want to close sometime in May. So that's good news!!!
Well, yesterday....Husband talked to her again. And THIS TIME....he got even BETTER news! Yep, so they want to close no later then May 3rd. AND......AND! We get the keys at closing!!! Are you kidding me?!?!?!?! OMG! I'm like going crazy right now. I can't even contain myself. This is going to be a whirl wind coming up here. Andy's going to Mexico for work on April 24th, I think....and then we need to get our house painted and fixed up for renters (in hopes that we have some) and then we'll need to look (and buy) some new appliances, new bedroom and living/family room furniture....and then get the house cleaned, (FIL is paying for someone to do that for us) and painted and then get all our stuff moved in....How we're going to do that, and be able to sleep there with Chloe comfortably...I'm not sure. But I know that we're going to be able to figure it out. This is what we've wanted for so long now...I can't even tell you how excited I am for it to finally be happening! It's crazy! But soon you guys will be able to see this house that I've been talking about that I haven't been able to post pictures of! How awesome is that?! Eeek! I'll definitely post before and after pics too. That's a must! Wait till you see it. You're going to flip!!!

So, the date we're looking at is on or before May 3rd! Eeeek!!!!

Tidbit Tuesday

In bullet points. Cuz I think they are cool....(kinda)

  • As you know we got Chloe's 18 month pictures done on Saturday. Our photographer has posted a few sneak peaks on Facebook, and I die a little every time I see a new one. They are THAT adorable.
  • I'm getting another tattoo on my birthday. It's going to represent my life and the fact that I'm adopted, and that no matter what I've been through, I still am who I am. It's going to be done in black ink, cursive writing on the top of my left shoulder. "I am who I am"
  • We are getting SO close to getting this house that we offered on. We're both getting so excited. We're already making plans of what we're going to do to it. Hardwood floors in the kitchen, half bath and laundry room, etc.
  • I having thoughts of when I want to transition Chloe to a toddler bed. I really wanted to do it FOR SURE when we move. But I'd like her to be used to it before the, so that the move wouldn't be such a big deal for her. And because of the fact that I hope we're moved in before our trip to Maine in July...because I don't want to have to take a pack n' play with us, but would just like to be able to move a bed to the wall and use a portable rail...ahh, but I'm just so nervous to change her out of her crib. She sleeps sooo good now, and I worry that a toddler bed would give her so much freedom, that she might start protesting bed time. Any thoughts?
  • Since I've started using MAC eye primer and foundation, I think that once I'm out of my cheapo bronzer, I want to buy some MAC bronzer.
  • We got Water for Elephants from our Blockbuster online thing, and I am REFUSING to watch it until I'm done reading the book on my Kindle....But I haven't had ANY time to read the past few days...Grrr!!
  • A few weeks back, I made a post about how Chloe really wasn't talking that much. Well, now...she won't stop. It's amazing! She's trying to say almost everything we say now. It's just nuts!
  • I placed my very first Scentsy order this past weekend. I'm soooo excited to get it and start using it! Oh good lord...I have a feeling I'll be buying at LEAST another warmer, and I don't think I'll be able to stop buying the Scentsy scents bars!
  • I can't decide if I want to make Chloe's big girl room Pink/Zebra, or if I want to go another route?????? HELP ME! Target has SOOOO many different pink/zebra options, I die a little every time I go in that place! They have rugs, lamps, AND bedding! I'm thinking Pink/White walls, and then all the accent pieces would be Zebra. What do you think?
Alright Loves, I'm done for now. I'd appreciate some feedback on the bullets that I need help on.
Thanks!

So, we have a meeting with our Agent today to plan the inspection for this week to get the ball rolling! OMG, I can't believe this is actually starting to happen! It's crazy and exciting!!
That's all. Just wanted to keep you guys in the loop!

FAN-Tastic Friday

So, this is just going to be another one of those randomness posts. My original post for today was going to be me and my makeup, and pictures of how I apply and the products that I use. But all week I've been forgetting to take pics of myself doing my makeup in the morning. But, tonight...I'm going out. So, IF I remember, I'm going to take pics of me putting my "night time" makeup on...and that's actually more fun then my "work" makeup. LOL!! So, I think that will turn out better.
On another note, I think we might have found our house. We walked through it on Tuesday....and then took the FIL back last night. There were a few things he questioned in the basement, but all else was pretty much good. It's got an eat in kitchen, a dining room, a really cute living room with a fireplace. A nice little family room. And upstairs is 3 bedrooms. The master is nice size with 2 decent size closets. No, it's not a walk in like I originally wanted, but oh well. We will deal. The master bath is nice too. Nice size stand up shower. And the 2nd bath up stairs is really nice size too. And the kitchen is really nice!!!!! I think that and the living room might be my favorite parts of the house. LOL! So, we might be putting an offer in on it today. I'll keep ya'll posted. We have a time table here....March 10th is the day we are moving out of our house. House or no house. We have renters that are planning on being moved in by the 17th. I can't believe after 6 years of living here, we're going to be saying goodbye. It's just crazy to me. We have so many memories here. This was our first house together. And our baby girl has spent the first year and half of her life here. So it's going to be weird to not be living here anymore. But on a good note, we will have really great renters! They are very professional, young people. And I know that they are going to take great care of our home. So that's making this all the better for me.
So, I'm going our for my girl Mallory's birthday tonight, and I'm super excited! I'm ready to just let go and dance my ass off!!! It's much needed right now. I've been like totally craving a nice night out with my girls. So, it's gonna be good. I hope to take lots of pictures that I can blog with for next week.
So, wish us luck on this house thing and hope that if we put an offer in, that it goes through!
Thanks Loveys!

House Update

So, the last posts I posted about the house that we were looking at. As good as it looked from the bedrooms and the kitchen, it wasn't all it was cracked up to be. After having Husbands Step Dad look through it thoroughly, there was a lot of things that were not "code". Basement mainly. Just wasn't good at all. So, needless to say. We didn't end up making an offer on that house.
I know that I was making a big deal about that house....but to us, without having the professional eye look at it, it was good. In reality, it was staged really good. That's what made us fall in love with it. So, the search continues.
We went out looking yesterday, and we found another house that we REALLY like. Only problem, it MIGHT be already pending a contract. So we are having our real estate agent look into it and hopefully maybe it's not, and we can make an offer. We are seriously in love with this house, and it needs to be ours. So we're hoping that we get good news today when she emails us the info. I will not give you any details about the house. I won't be posting any pictures or anything until we know for sure that we are able to make an offer. I don't want to get my heart set on this place. We're both really interested. The location, the price and the size of the house are just perfect for our family. Wide open floor plan, and amazing basement. That's all I will tell you right now.
In regards to my blog, I haven't had any time to write up the posts that I really want to blog, so this week I'll get on that and make this blog worth reading. I know that as of late, all I've been writing about is house hunting. Well, that's because that all we have been doing. We are on a time crunch with people wanting to rent and wanting to move in on March 16th. So we need to get our butts OUTTA here!
So, I just want to say that I do apologize for my lack of blogging anything interesting here lately, but I promise, if you stick with me, you will not be disappointed. I've got some good shit up my sleeve, and I hope to be able to work on my posts more this week. I'm trying my best to not leave a day postless...and I think I've done a pretty good job of that. I know they may not be as interesting as you would like, but I've got good stuff coming. So, just bare with me. Wish us luck that we get good news on this house that we want, and we're able to put an offer in!
Thanks Loves!

It's Freakin' Friday!!!

So, here's the dealio....today is Friday. And what does that mean to me? Well...it means a few things. 1. It's almost the weekend, and that means getting to spend lots of quality time with my sweet little family. 2. It means that we're going to see the house that we saw on Wednesday and FELL IN LOVE WITH! Yes, I would say that's the most important part of this Friday, to me at least.
So, if you read the post from earlier this week...."More House Hunting" then you saw all the pictures of this house that are posted on the listing. I'd like to think that my post was good luck for us. I'd like to think that it gave us the good mojo for this house to be the perfect house for us. It was like tooo real for us. As soon as we walked in, it was like we both just knew. This was going to be the perfect home. The house is in GREAT condition. Lots of room to live. Which is what we've been needing, like in a major way. There is a living room, a family room. A REALLY nice kitchen with some kind of crazy nice countertops. They aren't granite, but something else. All appliances are in good condition. It's an eat in kitchen. And there is also a dining room off the living room. Off the other side of the eat in kitchen, there is the family room, and then a sliding doorwall that leads to a florida room. And then outside is a really nice deck, and a decent size backyard.
So then upstairs. 4 bedrooms. 2 baths. (half bath downstairs) So the Master bedroom is like AH-mazing!! HUGE room, even HUGER (yes, I said huger) LOL! walk in closet. And the master bathroom is like TO DIE FOR!! Stand up shower, lots of counter space. Lots of closet space for all our toiletries and whatnot. OMG, like, I don't think there is a bad thing to say about the master suite...AT ALL!
So then the other 3 bedrooms, we're going to make 1 a guest bedroom. We will put our current bedroom furniture in there. So, yes, that does mean that we get to shop for new bedroom furniture for ourselves! YAY!!!!!!! And then 1 will be for Chloe. Obviously...and I am so super excited to make her big girl room!!! I cannot wait for that! And then the other bedroom will be Chloe's PLAYROOM!!!!! YAY!!!! Just what I've always wanted. Since we found out we were pregnant. That was my dream! And it's finally going to come true!!
So, I'm really excited for this. If everything goes good today....if the roof looks good. If the siding and everything is in good shape. If the Father In Law gives it the ok, then we're putting an offer in. TODAY!  Husband talked to a lawyer, and he said that if we put the offer in today, and all the inspections and everything come back good, and the offer and counter offer goes good, then we will have the keys in about 45 days. Which is really good considering we have people that are planning to move into our house on March 16th. They will be signing the lease sometime next week, and giving us the security deposit.
So, pray for us! Send some good mojo this way!!! This is it for us. We need this to happen. We can't spend another year in our house. It's way to small as it is, and as Chloe grows it's only getting smaller.......Eeeeeek! I can't tell you how excited I am. This is exactly the way I wanted our 2012 to start out. JUST LIKE THIS!

More House Hunting

And the search continues. If you read yesterdays post, then you know that we looked at 2 houses. Well...actually 3. Our Real Estate Agent took us to 1 that wasn't in our plans, but it actually hit the market about 10 minutes before we left our house. It was pretty nice, but there was just something that wasn't right. It said that it was over 1800 Sq Ft. But the living space just wasn't there. I would show you some pictures, but the listing isn't even available...that's how new it is. Basically it was a flip. Someone bought it for CHEAP and redid everything from the floors to the windows and the countertops and everything in between. You walk in and the eat in kitchen was to the left. Then there was a separate room off the kitchen which could have only been used for a dining room. And then right off that was the Master bedroom with a really nice walk in closet and an OK master bath. Back to the kitchen, the living room was off that, and there was a really nice sliding glass door with a really nice, big deck. So then on the other side of the house were the other 3 bedrooms. All pretty nice size with closets. The basement was completely finished with amazing tile and a full wet bar and bathroom. Our issue with this house was the "living space". There wasn't anywhere to really hang out. The living room space was just lacking. The furniture they had in it was tiny to begin with, and it still looked really crammed in there. We want more room...and being that it was over 1800 Sq Ft. We just needed more. We want a more spacious floor plan. So...on to the next.
We saw 2 other houses that just we not up to our standards. We secretly thing that our Real Estate Agent hates us and thinks that we're never going to find something. But in reality, we're just being really picky because we want this to be our "forever home". We don't want to have to move in somewhere with the intentions of having to sell/rent again in 5-10 years. We want to grow old in this home.
So, we have 2 more appointments set up for Wednesday. One is REALLY nice. I'm super excited to see it...
The street name is super cute too! Sugar Spring! LOVE it! It's really nice, from what the pictures have to show. It's 4 bedrooms, 3 baths. 2, 094 Sq Ft. And looks like everything is updated. So, for the hefty price that it's showing, we won't have to really do anything but move in. So that's good.
Here are the pictures.
 Front, back and enterance
kitchen and dining area
 living room and stairs
 bathrooms and master bedroom
seasonal room and other bedrooms
I'm I'm thinking that IF we do end up putting an offer in on this house, I will make the room with the star on the wall Chloe's. Only because it's got the chair molding, and I really want to do pink/white/green again...but not whole walls like we have now. I'll do a post of what her room looks like now, after we find out if this will be our new home...so I can do kind of a before and after. Because I plan on making Chloe's "big girl room" sooooo good! I can't wait!!

Now, I know that I'm showing this house off like it's already my own, but this is with high hopes that the next time you see pictures of this house (hopefully) the mailbox will have "Seed" on it!!
Here's hoping!!

Update on the House stuff

Our weekend went pretty darn good! Friday night was pretty normal. Nothing out of the ordinary. Just the usual feed Chloe, bathe Chloe, play with Chloe and put Chloe down for bed. Then we started watching some TV and fell asleep in the couch.
Saturday we went to look at a house. We had pretty high hopes for it. The pictures that we saw on the internet were REALLY good! Like, REALLY good! But as soon as we pulled into the driveway, we both kind of looked at each other and knew...we just knew that we weren't going to like it. But we gave it the benefit of the doubt and went inside anyways. So, here is what we saw inside.

Yes, I know it looks good from the pictures. That's what WE thought too...but it was SO BAD!!
So, in hopes of coming back from this POS, we're going to see this house tonight. And yes, these are the only 2 pictures that are on the website that we get from our Real Estate Agent. So...wish us luck!!

We have no idea what the inside looks like. So we're going in blind...just a little scared considering we've got 2 couples that are interested in moving into our house in like less then 2 months. Ahhhh!!!!!

Pot Luck Friday

Today is my company Holiday Pot Luck! I have prepared a delicious dish that I got from Pinterest! Ranch Bacon Cheesy Potatoes. A few of the girls at my work went in together on a Honey Baked Ham. Lunch is going to be fab!! My Manager made some kind of pasta, and also some homemade caramels. So that's going to be delicious!
This weekend we are going to be looking at a few more houses. One of which is right across the street from day care. How perfect would that be?! Specially since in August our company is moving our building....so to be close to day care would be perfect. So, we shall see. Lets hope that it's a good one!!
I'm really sorry girls, but I'm just drawing a blank right now...really nothing coming to mind to write about. So I'll leave you with this. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Have you all gotten your Christmas shopping done? Who's got some last minute stuff to pick up this weekend?? WE DO!
Happy Friday!

Monday Monday Monday

So, today I'm going to kind of just recap the past few days. Since Friday there has been some things that I'd like to fill you in on.

Up First, Friday. After a hard couple of days at work...I was looking forward to Friday night. So, to fill you in. Wednesday, our computer order entry system crashed......so that, was BAD! We couldn't put any orders into the system. Our phones were ringing like they normally do. Customers wanted to place orders, and we couldn't tell them when to expect to get their products! Thursday, The computers were STILL down! ALL DAY! So we couldn't do anything. We had to take all the phone orders by hand and literally watch as the web orders just piled up. THAT was not fun. We're used to like 2-3 pages in the morning, and just keeping up with them as the day goes on. But by Friday there was more then 12 pages. Friday they finally got the system back up and running, and they had to input all the orders that were lost from Wednesday morning before it crashed. And then we were able to start entering all of the paper orders. Some girls stayed till 8. But I had to leave at 5 so I could get Chloe and meet Husband at his work where they had a Santa.
So. Lets talk about Chloe and Santa...they are not friends. Chloe didn't like him one bit. So we had to get a family picture taken. So we're hoping that it turned out cute. Husband should get that from work today. So I'll hopefully be able to post that for you guys to see tomorrow. They had some great things for everyone to do. They had clown (Good lord, I did NOT like that part) And food and such. We had Chicken and Corn Dogs for dinner, and let Chloe run around a little bit. I think she will have more fun next year. She will be able to maybe go on the moon walk and such.
Now onto Saturday. My work Annual meeting. Basically a recap of the year. How much money we made, lost and all that. Hopes of a bonus, and a look into the coming year. We learned that we're moving our headquarters (the building that I work in) to our warehouse location, which is about a 20 minute drive from there. We're selling the building that we're in now, and he's hoping to have us completely moved into the warehouse by August. So that should be fun. We're all pretty excited I think. We had the choice last year on whether or not we wanted to get a raise or bonuses throughout the year. I opted for a raise, which I got last year. And thought that was a good idea in that maybe we would get another at the end of the year. Well, we didn't but the people that opted for the bonuses got them....so that kind of sucked. But I didn't get $100 for googling the date that CoCo Chanel died, on my phone. LOL! That's just the crazy stuff that our CEO does. Also, we have cheerleaders. Yep, and I'm one of them. We did a few cheers. And we're planning our flash mob for the summer meeting. Oh, and we got our Winter Survival Kit! 2 bottles of red wine, (yuck!) a honey glazed ham, a Betty Crocker Cook book, movie tickets, 2 big things of chocolate, and a new black hoodie with our work logo on them. LOVE IT!
And then Sunday we went over to the IL's for an early Christmas. They go to Florida every year for Christmas, so we do this every year. Chloe got a little singing talking Elmo, a  little Xylophone thingy, a touch/feel book and a Sesame Street peek a Boo book! Super Cute!! I got a candle, some bath and body works Winter Candy Apple body set, and a bottle of wine. Husband got a case of beer.
Sunday we also got some Christmas shopping done. We got my Mom some stuff, and our day care care givers some gift. So glad that stuff is done. Now I only have to shop for my niece and nephew and my Secret Santa for work....yay!!
Oh, and I thought I should let you know that we haven't found a new house yet. We looked at another one yesterday, and it just wasn't it. We liked some parts of it, but hated others...to much so to actually want to make an offer.
That's all for now.

Nothing Major Monday

I wish that I had something more interesting to blog about this monday...but I don't. Seems like a lot of the lovely ladies that I follow are all posting about pregnancies and all kinds of really great news....me...not so much. LOL! But I'm ok with that! We're not ready AT ALL for another pregnancy right now. We can't even move in our house that we have now....much less find a new house to move around in. LOL!
Speaking of new houses. Our search continues. We have seen so many houses, that I can't even count anymore. It's redonkulous....but I guess that's why they call it house hunting. We've seen quite a few that seemed to be great choices for us, but there was just 1 or 2 things that we couldn't stand about it. Or the main floor was PERFECT, but the upstairs had a REALLY narrow hallway, and the master bathroom SUCKED ass!! Or the house was like 90% there...had everything that we could have possibly wanted, but there was ABSOLUTELY NO backyard. UGH....so, for now the search continues. We have a very picky checklist that we just can't overlook. We are a family with a 15 month old toddler that is running around the house like she owns it, she's got A TON of toys, and clothes and shoes, and with Christmas right around the corner, she will be getting a TON MORE toys and clothes and shoes. LOL! Girl needs a play room AND a bigger closet. Momma and Daddy need more closet space. As we speak, all my clothes are STUFFED into a TINY ass closet in our bedroom...with literally NO more room to add. Husband has his shirts, hoodies and Jerseys hung on the top rack of Chloe's closet. And he has his work shirts and pants hung in the hallway closet with all of our fancy clothes hung on the door of the hallway closet by a screw that is hanging by literally a thread. And then he also has his jeans and shorts hung in the breezeway on a makeshift thing that we have in there...so there's that. Would you agree that we need a walk in closet that we can put ALL of our EVERY season clothes into, along with shoes and all that...um, YES PLEASE!
Also on the house checklist, We need a big back yard. Now, we're not talking about acres here...but something comparable to what we have now. As little as this house is, we do have a decent back yard. But with a growing toddler, that's just something that we would want. And if we even decide to expand our pet family to a dog...it would be nice to have.
We also want a nice kitchen, and main floor laundry. If we LOVE the house, and the laundry is in the basement, that wouldn't be a detour-ant, but it's something that would be nice to have. Also, a nice living room...it's just a must for us! We need the room for Chloe to run around. She's been walking like a pro for the past month and a half, and she is currently working on her running skills. But she really doesn't have the room to do that right now. So, I'm sure she does all her best face planting running at day care during the week.
Oh, and last night I made the Bubble Up Enchiladas....thanks to Pinterest and Shannon Dew. It was so delish!! Up next for this week. Chicken and Cheese lasagna roll ups! I will let you know how they turn out! Our grocery shopping experience was interesting on Saturday night. I'd never bought feta or Ricotta before, so I had to ask for help. LOL!!
So, that's about it for this Monday. I really didn't have anything fun to blog about, so this was a poor excuse for something good...but I hope you all enjoy it. Stay tuned for "Ask me Anything" tomorrow!! This should be good!!

Fantastic Friday

This week has truly been fantastic!! After a long weekend, Chloe having Hand Foot Mouth, being very cranky, and having a hard time going to sleep...out of know where. Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday came and went. Chloe is pretty much a champ at going to sleep in her bed and not on me. I am so happy and proud of her for being so good with this! I thought for sure I was going to be doomed. I just wasn't ready to give up that cuddle time. But after last week, and her going ballistic when I tried to put her down, I knew that it was time. I had to get off the baby times, and comes to terms with the fact that she's a toddler, and she needs to learn to soothe herself to sleep...and soothe she does now! She really doesn't even need the soothing. Wednesday night there wasn't any crying AT ALL! She was super tired though. So, that was expected. But for real. She's the most amazing toddler I could have ever asked for!! She's even been sleeping better since we started this. Normally, before she would go down, but wake up crying every hour or so crying...cry for a few minutes and then just go back to sleep. And the past week, she hasn't done that! So, I think it's working out really well!!
Now, I'm going to take back all the things I just said about my toddler being amazing, and rant a little bit about her being totally and completely obsessed with her Daddy....
She's always been a Daddy's girl. Totally and completely. She would seriously die to be in her Daddy's arms. No matter what's happening. We could be playing, pooping, crying, sleeping, it doesn't matter....when she hears her Daddy walk into the room, it's all over. There is nothing else that she wants more then to be held by him. She scratched, headbutts, twists and turns just to get out of my grasp and to get to him. It's just a little obnoxious! But I guess that's how I was as a baby...so maybe she gets that from me? I didn't know that love for your Daddy was something that you could pass down. And the fact that she is so crazy about him, I didn't know that that was possible from a 15 month old Toddler. But it is, and it is all her! She's head over heals for her Daddy. And that's all there is to it.
So, now that we have her sleep trained. The next thing is going we're going to do is take away the bottle. Yes, I know, OMG! Your 15 month old still takes a bottle...whatever. Say what you will....Like I said before. I wasn't ready to give up that cuddle time. But now that we've done away with that, I'm ready. I really don't think it's going to be that bad. I thought that the sleep thing was going to be tough. But, it wasn't. So, I'm actually looking forward to taking away her baba. I think it's going to be easy peasy! After the baba, we will tackle the binky. Now THAT, That I AM worried about. I'm not sure how that's going to go. It does worry me. I have a feeling we're going to have a tired, cranky toddler for a few days. That's what she wants as soon as she knows that it's bed time. That and her lovey. Which, she can have for as long as she wants. That, I don't care about.
On a different note, I have Andy almost done for Christmas. I just have to go to one more store this weekend, and then he's DONE. As far as Chloe, we're only gotten her 1 thing so far. And I do want to get her just a few more. I know that Grandma and Grandpa's will her get lots of goodies, so just a couple of things from us will be good. I know that she won't remember what came from who, and she probably won't even care. But I just want a few things for her to open from Mommy and Daddy (Santa) on Christmas morning.
AND, last but not least! We went to see a house yesterday....took the In Laws! Wish us luck! This just might be the one. I won't put any details until we know for sure though. But what I can say is that Husband is talking about buying new bedroom furniture (yay!!!!!) And talking about how quick and easy the move will be! So, we're definitely motivated and ready for this house hunting to be over!!! So, wish us luck that the house we've found is the one!!!
