House Update
I know that my last House Update stated that we were going to be closing on or by May 3rd...well that date has come and gone, and we're still waiting for word from the bank. Sucks, and it's making it hard for us, because we have people that have given us a deposit to rent our house. The last that we heard from our Real Estate Agent is that they expect us to be able to close by the end of May. SO we are REALLY hoping that this happens! Either way, the couple WILL be moving into our house by end of June. And if we don't have the keys to our house yet, then we're gonna have to move into Husbands Mom's house. Not ideal, but it will give us the time that we need, and also allowing us to save some money for a little while until we have that 2nd mortgage to pay. It won't be horrible either because Husbands Mom and Step Dad move to their Lake House when the kids get out of school for the summer, and we will be moving into their other house. Probably set Chloe's crib up in the basement.....maybe? I honestly don't know. We shall see how this next couple of weeks pans out. It should get pretty interesting if we don't get the bank to do what they need to do. We were hoping to hear something from the last week, and that didn't happen....so lets hope that we hear something soon.Wish us luck ladies. We would like to own this home sooner rather then later. As in BEFORE July, preferably. We're going on vacation in July, and Chloe's 2nd birthday is August 20th. So I'd like to be able to have her party at our new house! So....keep those fingers and toes crossed! Thanks Girls!!

Welcome to the wonderful world of short sales... We dealt with the same kind of issues with a short sale house that we put an offer in on. "Oh, you'll hear something by the end of the week... ok, nothing yet, but you'll hear something by the end of NEXT week", and so on, and so forth. Although this seems like a great house, you may want to keep looking just in case. If it gets to the end of the month and you still don't hear anything, you could try telling the bank that if they don't get their sh** together by X date, you're going to withdraw your offer... I REALLY hope that things work out for you, girlie. I'm keeping my fingers and toes crossed for you, but short sales SUCK... especially when you don't have all the time in the world to sit and wait.
I'll be praying for yall and keeping fingers & toes crossed! :)) Hope yall get settled in soon. I am facing the same thing too except our house was supposed to be done being remodeled and it's not. March 1st was the deadline, it's come and be long gone.. still no floors, no kitchen (it was gutted), and no way we can bring our new baby girl home to it so we're living in our guest house and it's TINY. There is no oven to cook in, only a small stove. It's all one big room so only our bedroom furniture will fit in there and her bed, our living room furniture is in storage along with 3/4 of our belongings and they have been since October of 2011! It's just really frusterating, BUT I try to focus on the things we do have and be thankful for them. :))
