On The Weight Loss Track...or not

First Saturday post in awhile.

So, if you remember...the last time I blogged about my weight loss, I was almost 10 lbs down. If you don't, you can read it here. Well, I hit a rut after that. With the holidays and such, I haven't really been keeping track of the calories, or anything that goes into my mouth, for that matter. So....I think it's safe to say that with the Holidays over, and the new year coming up tomorrow, it's time to get serious about it. I NEED to get this last 10 or so lbs off my ass, and I need to do it like YESterday! So that's it. After this weekend, It's ON, Like Donkey Kong baby! We're doing it. And I'm going to make Husband do it with me. I might even get on the treadmill in the garage. As much as I know I probably won't, I'll TRY....and try, and try. But I think that if I can just stick to watching what I eat and counting my calories, I'll do just fine. I did fine with that before. And maybe hit the treadmill when I go over my calories. That's what I used to do when it was warmer and not as horrible to get on my treadmill that we have in our garage due to our small ass house and no where else to put it.
I've been trying to tell Husband to download the MFP to his phone, but he hasn't done it yet. I think he might think that it's for chicks. But I've tried to tell him...he just thinks that he can count in his head. Um, trust me dude, it's SOOOO much easier to just have it in your phone and let the phone do the work. I don't think I could have done what I've already done without MFP. It's just the most amazing thing since sliced bread, to me. I love it!
So, with that being said. My New Years resolution this year is to get the rest of my weight off. I've already started back on the counting the calories track. And it's been going good so far. I've been under calories, or just over the past couple of days. So for me, that's good. I'm going to weight myself today and see where I'm at after all the holiday eating....and that's going to be it. After that the number better just keep going down.
Since I've been on this cooking road. I've been doing really good about cooking at least 2-3 nights a week. So, what I'm going to start doing is try to cook more healthier foods. And I'm also going to try and get the Husband on track too. Because as we all know, it's a lot easier to do something like this when you have a partner helping you and coaching you and actually getting results right along with you. So that's going to be our thing. And as I've already mentioned....my goal is to meet my goal by my birthday. And that will be March 5th. That day, I BETTER weigh in at 120 or below! I won't accept anything but.
So, here it is. In black and white. You have my word. From this day forward, I am on the fast track to losing this weight. And come March, I'll be posting a blog just like Shannon Dew did the day that she met her goal...you can read about that here. She is truly my inspiration! And I totally expect you girls to be my motivators!! If anybody has My Fitness Pal, I'd like to get some more friends on there...I'll need all the motivation I can get! My name on MFP is crystalseed. Find me, Please!
Thanks for reading this year! Looking forward to a great (and skinnier) 2012!!

P.S. I don't have a good "fat" picture of myself to post for you to see what I'm trying to accomplish here...I guess I've just been really good about either not taking pictures, or hiding the gross parts when I'm in the pictures. LOL! But I will leave you with this....here I am at 4 weeks pregnant with Chloe. This was at my very lowest weight. 120 lbs!! This is what I want to look like when all is said and done!

Reflection on 2011

I need to give a big thanks to Shannon over at Life After I "Dew"...because without her I wouldn't have remembered to blog about this. I totally had a light bulb go off, and then didn't write it down, and then forgot. And while I was emailing with Shannon, she told me that she was so slow at work and she was catching up on some blogs, and I asked her what she was writing about, cuz I had a bloggers block, and she reminded me of what I wanted to write about. So, Shannon, Thank You! LOL!!
So, anyways, back to what the post is really about. Reflection on 2011....
This year has been pretty amazing. And, some parts not so amazing...but we live and we learn (and we get luvs) Sorry....every time I say that quote, I always think of the diaper commercial. LOL!
Anyways, We have been so blessed to have Chloe in our lives. I know that she wasn't born in 2011, but she has done most of her growing and learning and exploring in 2011....She's been a pretty busy girl. From day care to getting the sickies here and there to going on vacations. It's just been a whirlwind for us. We had her baptism and her 1st birthday. We've been happy/sad/angry and all different emotions all at once with my family. Andy turned 31, I turned 25....But all in all it's been an amazing year. And I can't wait for 2012.
Let see....as far as vacations go, we drove to New York when Chloe was 10 months old....and then the very next weekend we got her baptized. Only a short month and a half later she turned 1. At the end of September we went up north to Harbor Springs. We've been up north to see my parents in Unionville a few times.
I've become a pretty decent cook, and have started my journey down this thing called losing the baby weight. We've started the house hunting process in hopes of finding that perfect home for our family. And I've "met" some pretty amazing ladies here in the Blogging world!! And speaking of the blogging world, I just want to take a moment to reach out to my cousin...who I haven't seen in probably like 10-12 years. Shannon Dew, yes! I'm talking to you....we NEED to make it a point in 2012 to meet up!!!! Like FOR REAL this time. I know that we tried to plan it twice last year, and for 1 reason or another it didn't happen. But For all reasons that we don't even need to discuss....we WILL meet up. THIS WILL HAPPEN! Before the kids go off to college. LOL!
Chloe started crawling, talking, walking...she had her first Easter and First 4th of July. She had her 2nd Thanksgiving. Which was kind of like her first because 2010 she wasn't old enough to even try any of the good food. She also had her 2nd Christmas, but again, almost kind of her first due to age...and this year was SO MUCH better then last year!
So, I'm really looking forward to a whole bunch of different things for 2012. I can't wait to watch Chloe grow and learn more. Learn different words, and learn how to do different things. Hopefully we can find ourselves a good home to move into, and then my company will be moving buildings in August. So it's just going to be a great year for us. And I can't wait to get to know all of my blog friends more, and hopefully get some new followers and share with you all my crazy life as we all learn and grow together.
So, I'm sure as you all have probably guessed, I'm going to be 1 of the 100 million people with the lose weight and eat right New Years Resolution. Only, I won't be that person that goes to the gym for 1 month and then falls off the bandwagon...nope. That won't be me. I promise you that I won't even step foot in the gym! HA! Not even going to waste my time. If I feel the need to move around, well...I have a toddler. AND I have a treadmill. So that should do me. My goal is to meet my goal by my birthday...which, if you didn't already know, is 2 short months away, ladies. Yes! I am giving myself till March 5th to lose the REST of this damn weight! And yes! I will do it. I am not giving myself any other choice. It's DO OR DIE this time.
So, thanks for reading in the short time I've been blogging in 2011, and I hope that I can keep you all intrigued enough to continue reading for a very long time!! Happy New Year my lovely ladies! I hope that your year was just as amazing as ours has been, and I wish you all an amazing 2012!!

What we got for Christmas

I know that this should have been posted Monday or Tuesday, but with the holiday festivities, and then taking Chloe to the ER on Monday...well, this Mamma just didn't have the time.
So, now I'm going to sit down and reflect on our Christmas Eve at Grandpa's and our Christmas Morning!
So, we went to Husband's Dad's house for Christmas Eve. We had a great time! Chloe got clothes, toys, (a cookie monster piano thing and a puzzle) some books and some DVD's.

So then that brings us to Christmas morning/day.
She got A TON of stuff from "Santa". She had such a good time!!
She got a Kitchen, a dinosaur, a giraffe, a Mouse and Zee, blocks, Baby Alive, Sock Monkey, Pillow Pet and more.
And from Uncle Jerry, Aunt Lynda and Jeralyn she got a "Lawn Mower"

I know that you are all probably wondering what Husband and I got for each other....
I got him some new golf shoes, some new leather gloves, and a new Old Navy hoodie. He got me some clothes, my favorite perfume, some undies, and I kind of helped, but my lap top was part of that.
And then, of course, my favorite gift from Husbands Dad was my Keurig!!! I LOVE it! And he also got my a gift set of VS perfume! I'm seriously like set for the next year on perfume! I have a crazy amount now! Pretty much 1 for every day of the week. LOL!!
So there you have it! Just a little peek at our Christmas festivities! We love our little girl, and she had such a good Christmas!

SO WHAT! Wednesday

Linking up with Shannon Dew over at Life After I "Dew" for another week of saying SO WHAT!
This week I'm saying SO WHAT! if

  • I may have been more excited about Christmas this year then Chloe...
  • I was only excited for her to open her gifts...not so much for mine just because it's all about her now. But I did enjoy opening my stuff!!
  • I spend my Monday off at the hospital with our sick girl...we couldn't wait until Tuesday to take her to the doctor to get her medicine...she was just too miserable.
  • I'm jealous that Husband has this week off and gets to stay home with Chloe.
  • I kind of don't mind that I do work only because I get to wear jeans all week.
  • I was tempted to brew me a cup of coffee with my new Keurig at 7pm last night. But I refrained. I'll wait until morning.
  • I've gotten off track on my weight loss a little bit. I'm giving myself until my birthday (March 5th) to lose the rest of my weight.
Go over to Life After I "Dew" and link up with Shannon!!
Till next week....

Lack of a blog

Sorry for my lack of a blog yesterday....we actually spend the afternoon in the ER with Chloe. She's ok....so don't freak out yet. But she was miserable, and her doctor office wasn't open. I think I called and had the doctor pages about 4 times. So, here's the story:
We woke up Christmas morning to Chloe looking and acting normal, with the exception of a little bit of crusty's on her left eye. We didn't really think much of it. She was acting pretty normal. Christmas day went exactly as planned. She napped great and we went to my brothers house for dinner. Came home, gave Chloe dinner and a bath and she went to bed without a problem. She slept great, as normal. And when Husband woke up Monday morning she was still pretty ok...with the exception again of the eye crusty's. At about 10am ish, she just started getting really cranky and fussy. I called the doctor and told them about her eye and he called us in some eye drops. So, I went and picked those up for her and just got all the stuff from Target that we had on our list for the day. (Mind you, we had our entire day planned out for going to like 6 different stores, returning, exchanging. The whole 9. AND we were supposed to meet up with Husbands cousin from out of town, but that didn't happen.) So, anyways. Got home with the eye drops, and started those immediately. She just wasn't getting any better. We decided to pack up and go to the Urgent Care. We got there, and the waiting room was PACKED.....and when we signed in, a Mom and her son came up and crossed their name off the list and wished us luck. Said that she was going somewhere else. Oh, good lord. So we just crossed our name off the list and left too. We went home, called the doctor again and asked what could possibly be wrong with our little girl. She was just inconsolable. He said that with "pink eye" sometimes they can get an ear infection too...so just to give her some tylenol to ease the pain until we could get into the doctor tomorrow. Ok. So we did that. And that seemed to work. We gave her that and she literally passed out on Husbands chest. But that didn't last long. When she woke up, she was the same. Wouldn't stop crying, rubbing the side of her head (where her ear canal would be) and just not good....so we waited a little while, threw the idea back and forth and finally decided to just take her to the hospital. If she had an infection, she needed antibiotics. And we didn't want to wait until tomorrow to start those. So, we again, packed her up and went to the  ER.....we waited and waited and waited and waited....probably close to2 hours later did we finally get in to see the doctor. He took a quick look in her ear and at her eye and just said, yep, there is an infection in her ear and her eye. I'll give you some eye drops and some Amoxocillion. Well, we already had the eye drops, and so he just wrote the Rx for the Amox, and we were on our merry way. So we got her home, gave her all her stuff, gave her a bath, finally got her to eat and drink some. And put her to bed. She was a little rough. Waking up a little here and there fussing and coughing, but for the most part, she did pretty good. Husband is staying home with her on Tuesday....she is supposed to go to day care Wednesday and Thursday, but I think he will just keep her home. He's got all week off....
But that's what happened to us. Hopefully I'll have the time to blog the rest of the week. If not, you know what I'm doing. And I hope to have my baby girl back to normal in the next couple of days.

Christmas Traditions

Got this from Dottie over at Crazy Little Thing Called Love

1. Egg Nog or Hot Chocolate? Hot Chocolate FOR SURE! I have tried and tried Egg Nog...Nope! Don't like it!

2. Does Santa wrap presents or just sit them under the tree? He wraps them. For sure! Always has, and always will.

3. Colored lights on tree/house or white? White for sure! I think that they are just so sleek and pretty! Won't ever have colored. Neighbors have the blinking annoying ones, and I think it just looks tacky!

4. Do you hang mistletoe? Nope.

5. When do you put your decorations up? This year it was actually ON Thankgiving. But normally it's the weekend after.

6. What is your favorite holiday dish? I would have to say Ham. For sure. I really don't like it much any other time of the year.

7. Favorite Holiday memory as a child? I do remember one year where my whole family went to my Grandmas house on Christmas Eve. Dinner, presents, and the whole 9. And Santa showed up. I was so excited to see him. I knew that I had been a very good girl that year! It was magical!
Funny the things you are so sure of as a kid!! I hope to be able to keep the magical feeling of Christmas going for as long as possible. I know that my parents tried their hardest with me, and I believed for a very long time. And I just pray that I can do that for Chloe.

8. When and how did you learn the truth about Santa? I think I was about 10 or so. It was actually Thanksgiving Day. My Mom had been up since the wee hours of the morning preparing dinner and what not. The whole family came over to hang out, eat and watch football. After dinner, my Mom disappeared for a really long time. Everyone just telling me that she was really tired and went upstairs to take a nap. No sooner was there a knock on the door. And that "Ho Ho Ho" that I had been yearning for. So "Santa came in and sat down and we all sat on his (her) lap. I had a bad habit of not cleaning my room....and "Santa" knew this, and asked if he could see my room...at that point I started crying hysterically. I knew that if Santa saw my messy bedroom, that I probably wouldn't be getting any presents for Christmas. So after all that, and after Santa left, we all settled down and just hung out, and about a half hour later my Mom came back downstairs from her "nap" and we all told her that she missed Santa!!! She seemed so sad about this. But at that point, I kind of figured it out.

9. Do you open a gift on Christmas Eve? When I was little, we did. There was always 1 or 2 gifts from Mommy and Daddy. We would just watch Christmas movies and old Family videos. And then wake up really early on Christmas morning to open all the gifts from Santa. But now, we won't. Not with Chloe. We're going to make Christmas morning all about her!!

10. How do you decorate your Christmas tree? Usually it's white lights and lots of ornaments. But this year, it's just lights...with 1 ornament that Grandma bought for Chloe with her name on it. And the other is the ornament that Chloe made for us at Day Care! It's so cute!!

11. Snow! Love it or Dread it? I like it, but not to drive in. I just like to look at it, watch it fall, and I just want to watch Chloe play in it this year. I didn't buy her a cute snow suit for nothing...LOL!

12. Can you ice skate? I used to....never very good, but yea. I haven't done it in years though...not sure I could these days.

13. Do you remember your favorite gift? There were a lot of really great gifts. If I had to name one though, it would probably have to be my giga pet.....remember those things? I think I was probably like 12 or so. But those were the popular things at that time, and I loved it!

 14. What’s the most important thing about the Holidays for you? Spending time with Family. That's what the holidays are all about!! And now that Chloe is coming to the age where she can enjoy ripping into the wrapping paper! I just cannot WAIT for Christmas morning!

 15. What is your favorite Holiday Dessert? Cookies, of course!! My Sister from another Mister, Jennifer, always makes some BOMB ass cookies and brings them for all the family to share! They are the SHIZIT!!

16. What is your favorite holiday tradition? We really haven't made any traditions in the Seed household yet. Next year I REALLY want to do the Elf On The Shelf though...

17. What tops your tree? Right now it's a really ugly star...I don't like it, and I've hated it ever since we bought it. I'm hoping that next year, we'll be in a new house, with a new tree, new ornaments and a new tree topper!

18. Which do you prefer: giving or receiving? I love giving! I just love the look on the recipients face when they open it and realize it's exactly what they wanted....just melts my heart! But don't get me wrong, I love receiving too!!

19. Candy Canes: Yuck or Yum? Normal ones, yum! Other flavors, Not so much....

20. Favorite Christmas show? A Christmas Story

21. Saddest Christmas Song? I don't know...are there sad ones?

22. What is your favorite Christmas song? Mariah Carey's "All I want for Christmas"

Fear Factor, What?

Another request that I got to post about was my eating habits. Well...kind of. I wrote in my Tag! You're IT! post about how I was paid money to eat a worm and a fish. And I had a few ask about whether they were alive, or dead and was the fish like alive. Well, here is the story:
Obviously this was all before Little Miss Chloe was brought into this world. My parents have a cottage Up North (northern Michigan) and Husband and I used to always go up on the weekends in the summer time. It was just a huge 3 day/2 night party! My parents, my sister and her husband and lots of family friends. Lots of drinking and lots of fun times!
So, the fish story is the first on the list. This actually happened well before I met Husband. I was probably about 15 or so years old. And we were just hanging out on the beach. Somebody had caught a fish. It wasn't a big fish...just a perch is I remember correctly. And being that I was only about 15 years old, I wasn't drinking....so alcohol had NOTHING to do with this one. My brother-in-law was always one to bet me that I couldn't/wouldn't do something. But, like any 15 year old. When there is money involved, I would do pretty much anything. He put (if I remember correctly) $100 on the table. And well...I pick the fish up, flopping around and all, and stuck the head in my mouth and just bit down. Held it in my mouth for a quick second, and spit it out. That was it! That was all I had to do. My sister handed me my can of Mountain Dew, and I chugged that until it was gone.....that's it! $100 in my hand!!
So, then next is the worm. This time, there was alcohol involved! And I can promise you, I probably would have had a bit of a harder time doing this if I wasn't a little intoxicated. LOL! So, I really didn't know Husband at all at this time. This was before we were together. But he was hanging out with his buddy Corey, who is my brother-in-laws cousin. After a long day at the beach, my brother-in-law bet that I wouldn't eat a whole worm. Well....again, give me money, and I'm bound to do whatever. So I did...I put the worm in my mouth and let that little wiggly sucker slide right down my throat. When we got back to the cottage, in front of the whole crew, my brother-in-law gave me my money. Later on that night, there was a game of horseshoes going on. Husband was very intoxicated, and wasn't winning....AT ALL. And there was money on the game. So my brother-in-law gave him a chance to win his money back. Double or nothing....throw a ringer in 10 tries. Well, Husband couldn't do it. Bless his heart. So he wrote a check out for whatever the amount was. Again, I think it was $100. So then I said, hey! Let him eat a worm for his money back. BIL slipped the check in my back pocket, my sister and I took Husbands car to the marina and asked a random fisherman for a worm. Got what we needed and headed back to the cottage. Gave Husband the worm, and he ate it. So he took his check back and that was it! End of story!
So there you have it. I'm no Fear Factor champ...I can assure you I wouldn't be able to do half the shit they do!! That shit is just WRONG! But, give me money, and a little bit of alcohol, and I just might give you a little show. Hahaha!!!

Battle Scars

Since my Tag! You're IT! Post, I've gotten a few requests to post about how I got the scar that I mentioned. So, that gave me an idea to share some of what I never thought I would share....yep, you guessed it. My scars. There are a few that I'm not so proud of, and some that I am sort of proud of. So....here it is. Stock full of pictures even...now, THIS I might regret. But ya know what, oh well...Here goes nothin'.....
So, the scar on my left thigh that's about 4 inches or so long (give or take some). I was on my parents boat, and went to jump off the back of it, and didn't jump far enough. Now, know that the boat was not on. So the propeller was not on. To be quite honest, I didn't feel the initial cut happen because I remember not even realizing that blood was draining out of my leg until I had been walking on dry land for a good 5 minutes or so. So, it didn't really even hurt. But it was pretty deep, and there is a pretty nice scar to prove it!
(kinda hard to see, and please don't mind the hair...I don't shave that high in the winter. Don't judge!)
Second on my list of ugliness....the ones from my firework accident. You guys read about that here. And if you didn't, you can click on that link! So anyways...here's some pictures to prove that. Those, not so nice while they were healing.
There are a lot more of those, but some are in places that I can't/don't want to post on the internet.
Besides those, there are a few scars here and there that I really couldn't tell you where they came from. Some I know of, and they just aren't that big of a deal. But the biggest ones...the ones that I will have to live with for the rest of my life, the ones that mean the most to me. The ones that remind me of my beautiful daughter every single day of the year that I see them....you know the ones I'm talking about. If you're a Mom, you probably have them to. Whether they be on your stomach, boobs, thighs, back, whatever. You know you got em, and you know they are pretty little ugly things. But we got em, and they remind us of that special 9 months of pregnancy that we went through...and well...here is mine. Hope you have a vomit bucket near by. This might just make you hearl.

So there you have it. Some of my battle scars. Do you have any? What are they from? Any good stories about them? Please, share!!

SO WHAT! Wednesday

Another Week has passed...and again, linking up with Shannon over at Life After I "Dew"
This week I'm saying SO WHAT! if:

  • I totally forgot that today was Wednesday....
  • I'm a little sad that I've only gotten 1 gift so far for this week's Secret Santa festivities....
  • I made Taco Spaghetti for dinner on Monday, and used WAY to many noodles. Oh well.
  • I JUST got all my Christmas stuff done LAST NIGHT...yea, I'm a bit of a procrastinator.
  • Chloe looks like she got in a fight. She's got marks on her bottom lip from falling and hitting her chin on a table...apparently it was a pretty bloody scene. But she's fine.
  • Adding to the previous post, after I heard about her trip, I went to pick her up, and my thumb nail scratched her nose. So she's got a nice mark there too...and then somehow her eye got scratched. So, yea. She's a mess
  • Today is my Thursday, and I realized that it was Wednesday and that I hadn't made a SWW post yet, at about 12:00...lol! Opps!
Well, that's about it for me, now go link up with Shannon!!

Secret Santa Day 1

Today was day 1 of our gift giving Secret Santa week at work. Usually we just did 1 big gift on Friday before Christmas. But this year, we decided to shake it up a little bit. We decided to do 4 small gifts Monday-Thursday, and then 1 bigger gift on Friday. Or, in my case, 3 smaller gifts and then 1 bigger on Thursday, since I won't be at work on Friday due to Day Care closing for the holiday.
Anyways, So when I got to work today, the girl that I bought for wasn't there yet, so I quickly set her wrapped gifts on her desk, and then later learned that she wasn't going to be there...haha! So since she's only part time, she's going to be opening all her gifts on Wednesday.
As the day went on, Stacy (girlfriend that sits behind me) and myself and DJ (my most amazing coach that sits next to me) were all talking about how it was so neat watching everyone sneak their gifts to their recipients and watching everyone open their gifts....but we (being Stacy and myself) hadn't received anything yet. Boooo to that! As my lunchtime quickly approached, I became more and more discouraged that maybe my Secret Santa was absent, or just plain forgot about me. But when I came back from lunch, I had a surprise waiting for me at my desk. It was a HUGE desk calender!! Whoever had me knows me pretty well. They must have heard me talking about it last week....my plan was to go buy one this weekend, but I never made it to Walmart for the one that I wanted. And, boy, am I glad that I didn't. Cuz this one is AWESOME! It's huge, and the sheets are super nice and thick and I'm actually able to use my Bic Markers to write on it and they don't bleed through! I was really excited about that!
So, I'm really excited to see what my Santa has in store for me tomorrow and the rest of my short week. Whoever it is, and if you read my little piece of the world wide web, I want to thank you for being a great Santa!! You either really know me, really well....or you are just a great listener! Either way, YOU rock my socks right off my feet! Thank You!!
Stay tuned tomorrow for my Tuesday gift! I can't wait, and I'm sure you can't either!

Recap Monday

Happy Monday all!! Just thought I would recap everyone on what we've been up to around here. I haven't posted many pics as of late, so I wanted to let everyone see how cute my little girl is!
First up is some pictures from our Christmas with the In Laws. They go to Florida every year for the holidays, so Chloe got to open some gifts from them last weekend. She had a ball!!
I think shoulder rides are her most favorite thing to do now!!
But smiling, apparently is NOT. LOL!
A little blurry, but that's Chloe with her Auntie Erin
And then Grandma popped in! LOL!

Ok, so then we got Chloe's snow suit in the mail. OMG, this was like the most cutest thing EVER!! I wanted to try it on her before I put it away. Ya know, just to make sure that it fit her good and all...and she seriously like loved it. Being that it's a snow suit, it's a bit bulky, so she looked like she was waddling. Oh Good Lord, Husband and I were laughing so hard that Chloe started laughing because we were laughing. I couldn't stop. It was THAT funny.
Like, Seriously, the cutest little thing ever!! I SO wish I would have captured her little walk around the house in these on video. You would have DIED!
And then yesterday Chloe was playing with some wrapping paper tubes. Ya know, the cardboard tubes that wrapping paper is wrapped around. She loves them. And we were making funny noises into them, and they were like megaphones. She loved it! See....
See!! How freakin adorable is that?! She seriously loved it! Couldn't get enough. She's too funny!! God Love her!!
And just for good measure, here is a video of her opening her Elmo

Have a good Monday, Ya'll!!

Pot Luck Friday

Today is my company Holiday Pot Luck! I have prepared a delicious dish that I got from Pinterest! Ranch Bacon Cheesy Potatoes. A few of the girls at my work went in together on a Honey Baked Ham. Lunch is going to be fab!! My Manager made some kind of pasta, and also some homemade caramels. So that's going to be delicious!
This weekend we are going to be looking at a few more houses. One of which is right across the street from day care. How perfect would that be?! Specially since in August our company is moving our building....so to be close to day care would be perfect. So, we shall see. Lets hope that it's a good one!!
I'm really sorry girls, but I'm just drawing a blank right now...really nothing coming to mind to write about. So I'll leave you with this. Hope everyone has a great weekend. Have you all gotten your Christmas shopping done? Who's got some last minute stuff to pick up this weekend?? WE DO!
Happy Friday!

Mom/Wife Fail

Last night was my first Pinterest dinner FAIL....I tried to make the White Chicken Enchiladas....but it didn't go quite as planned. The recipe calls for 2 CUPS of chicken broth. NOT 2 CANS...which is what I use. UGH. They tasted good, but they were SOGGY....so that sucked some major ass. Oh well! Onto the next recipe.
Ok, now onto my Mommy fail. So, Sunday night we went to the In Laws for dinner. We had tacos with all the fixings. Lettuce, tomatoes, onions, cheese, avocados, sour cream and taco sauce. So, we were eating, and Chloe had already eaten some of her dinner. We put her in the high chair next to us, and we gave her some lettuce, and some avocados. She had never liked the avocados before, and she was actually eating them. So I gave her a few pieces. So then I went to the store on Monday to get some stuff to make dinner. I bought an avocado because Chloe liked it so much, that I thought I would give her a little bit for dinner for the next few nights. I didn't end up giving her any Monday, but I gave her some on Tuesday. And then yesterday when I picked her up from Day Care they told me that her butt was really red and she was having a hard time pooping  because her butt hurt. I thought that it was just another diaper rash, so when we got home I fed her per normal and gave her the last of the avocado...DUH....I shouldn't have done that. I wasn't even thinking. I gave her some prunes to make it easier for her to poop. Girl gobbled them up like a maniac! She loves prunes! But then when it came time to give her a bath poor girl couldn't even sit in the tub. Her butt hurt that bad! So I washed her up while she stood there, got her out, dried her off, put her lotion on and put some maalox/aquaphor mixture on her bottom. She screamed, of course, but once I rubbed it in, it made her feel a lot better. That mixture is the BOMB.com, ya'll! Let me tell you! Thanks to Shannon Dew for telling me about that!
So anyways, the whole point of this is that I basically realized, after 3 nights of having avocados, that she just might be allergic to them. That's the only thing that I can think of. That's the only thing that she's had out of the ordinary stuff that she usually eats...and she's not been THIS red for a while. So, I'm going to lay off the avocados and just love her and wait for her butt to clear up and never give her avocados ever again. Well, for awhile at least.
I feel like a total Mom fail, and I feel super dumb for not realizing this sooner. But I never really had the opportunity to think about it. The last time (this summer) I tried to give her avocados, she didn't like them. So she didn't eat any for us to even see if they agreed with her or not. Bad thing is, she LOVED them this time...and when I gave them to her last night, I was only going to give her 1 slice, but when I took the other slice away she asked for more. So I just gave it to her. So I might cry because I'm sure that her butt is going to be even worse today then it was last night. I just hope that it heals good and fast. Wish me luck guys! I love my girl, and I hate seeing her in pain and uncomfortable like this.
So there is my rant about my Mommy/Wife fail. The Mommy one a little bit harder on me, obviously.

SO WHAT! Wednesday

Linking up with Shannon Dew over at Life After I "Dew" for another week of saying SO WHAT!
This week I'm saying SO WHAT! if

  • I'm happy (and sad) that Chloe doesn't want to be cuddled before going to bed anymore...it's a little bittersweet for me.
  • We aren't putting ornaments on our tree this year...we have a 15 month old toddler...it's just not a good idea.
  • I feel sad when Chloe only wants Daddy sometimes. Even though I get a LOT of special time with her...
  • I'm sad that my IUD didn't make my period stop yet...it's close, but not quite yet.
  • I want to get a new house just so we have somewhere to put all Chloe's toys in....she's got way too many.
  • Chloe has 2 winter coats, but I bought her a snow suit WITH a new coat because it was only $29!!
  • Even though we don't have much for Chloe for Christmas, I'm still excited for the experience of it.
  • I all of a sudden have this passion for cooking. It's like I can't wait to look up my next recipe. It's kind of crazy!
  • I got spiff money at work, and I was going to spend it all on myself, but, because of my new found love for cooking, I ended up grocery shopping for food to cook.
Well, that's about it for this week. Head on over to Shannon's blog and link up with her right now!

Christmas, Past and Present

Chloe last Christmas. 2010. She was 3.5 Months old

Chloe Christmas 2011 15.5 Months old

And of course the Seed Family! How adorable!?

So, there you have it! Do you see how adorable Chloe was last year?! She had no idea what was going on, and she didn't care that Santa was holding her. That was NOT the case this year though. Once we walked away from her, she just screamed! LOL! Oh well...everyone has those screaming baby pics of Santa. It's tradition!

Monday Monday Monday

So, today I'm going to kind of just recap the past few days. Since Friday there has been some things that I'd like to fill you in on.

Up First, Friday. After a hard couple of days at work...I was looking forward to Friday night. So, to fill you in. Wednesday, our computer order entry system crashed......so that, was BAD! We couldn't put any orders into the system. Our phones were ringing like they normally do. Customers wanted to place orders, and we couldn't tell them when to expect to get their products! Thursday, The computers were STILL down! ALL DAY! So we couldn't do anything. We had to take all the phone orders by hand and literally watch as the web orders just piled up. THAT was not fun. We're used to like 2-3 pages in the morning, and just keeping up with them as the day goes on. But by Friday there was more then 12 pages. Friday they finally got the system back up and running, and they had to input all the orders that were lost from Wednesday morning before it crashed. And then we were able to start entering all of the paper orders. Some girls stayed till 8. But I had to leave at 5 so I could get Chloe and meet Husband at his work where they had a Santa.
So. Lets talk about Chloe and Santa...they are not friends. Chloe didn't like him one bit. So we had to get a family picture taken. So we're hoping that it turned out cute. Husband should get that from work today. So I'll hopefully be able to post that for you guys to see tomorrow. They had some great things for everyone to do. They had clown (Good lord, I did NOT like that part) And food and such. We had Chicken and Corn Dogs for dinner, and let Chloe run around a little bit. I think she will have more fun next year. She will be able to maybe go on the moon walk and such.
Now onto Saturday. My work Annual meeting. Basically a recap of the year. How much money we made, lost and all that. Hopes of a bonus, and a look into the coming year. We learned that we're moving our headquarters (the building that I work in) to our warehouse location, which is about a 20 minute drive from there. We're selling the building that we're in now, and he's hoping to have us completely moved into the warehouse by August. So that should be fun. We're all pretty excited I think. We had the choice last year on whether or not we wanted to get a raise or bonuses throughout the year. I opted for a raise, which I got last year. And thought that was a good idea in that maybe we would get another at the end of the year. Well, we didn't but the people that opted for the bonuses got them....so that kind of sucked. But I didn't get $100 for googling the date that CoCo Chanel died, on my phone. LOL! That's just the crazy stuff that our CEO does. Also, we have cheerleaders. Yep, and I'm one of them. We did a few cheers. And we're planning our flash mob for the summer meeting. Oh, and we got our Winter Survival Kit! 2 bottles of red wine, (yuck!) a honey glazed ham, a Betty Crocker Cook book, movie tickets, 2 big things of chocolate, and a new black hoodie with our work logo on them. LOVE IT!
And then Sunday we went over to the IL's for an early Christmas. They go to Florida every year for Christmas, so we do this every year. Chloe got a little singing talking Elmo, a  little Xylophone thingy, a touch/feel book and a Sesame Street peek a Boo book! Super Cute!! I got a candle, some bath and body works Winter Candy Apple body set, and a bottle of wine. Husband got a case of beer.
Sunday we also got some Christmas shopping done. We got my Mom some stuff, and our day care care givers some gift. So glad that stuff is done. Now I only have to shop for my niece and nephew and my Secret Santa for work....yay!!
Oh, and I thought I should let you know that we haven't found a new house yet. We looked at another one yesterday, and it just wasn't it. We liked some parts of it, but hated others...to much so to actually want to make an offer.
That's all for now.

Free For All Friday

On Tuesday I put the ball in your court. I told you that you could ask me ANYTHING you wanted...and well..here's the answers to all your burning questions!

From Laura over at Moments With The Mays: How did you meet your Husband?
Well, Laura....kind of a funny story really. I was 18. I had just graduated from high school. My Mom and Dad threw me a graduation party up north at their cottage. I had a boyfriend at the time...and he wasn't being very cooperative about going up north. So we ALMOST missed my party! Andy was there with his best friend Corey, who is my brother-in-laws cousin. (small world huh?) So That weekend I noticed him...and he noticed me, but we really didn't talk much. So, some weekends after that, we were up north at the same time again, this time, me without a boyfriend, and well...we started talking. And then after that, he invited me to go up to East Lansing with him to party a little bit, and that was that. We were in love! I broke up with the boyfriend THAT weekend, and Andy and I started officially dating about a month later.

Well, ladies. That was the only question I got. Crazy, I know...I thought I would have gotten a much bigger response then that. But oh well. Maybe next time.

So, with that all done. I thought I would just recap what's going on with us and our house hunting. We have yet to find a house to live in....but we did have a very nice couple walk through our house in hopes of renting it. That happened Thursday night. They seemed to REALLLY like it...and we REALLY liked them! They seemed perfect! They both had good, full time jobs. They are young, and they have a little dog. They really liked our house too. So that helps a lot. So we sent them the rental application and they are going to send us there pay stubs and what not so that we can get the credit check ran...if all that comes back good, then we're good to go. We take the security deposit, and we will move into Husbands parents "summer home". It's a little out of our way to live there, but it's the best option for us until we get a house. We won't have to pay rent, and it will help us to save money until we can get our own place.
We are going to look at a house on Sunday. It's a short sale, so that kind of sucks....but we're trying to be positive about it. So, wish us luck on this journey we're about to take. If these renters DO end up moving in...we're gonna have to be packed and moved out by the end of January-early February. So that's pretty quick here...so lets hope that we can find a house to buy SOON!!!!!!!!!!!

That's all for today. Hope you ladies have a great weekend! I will keep you posted on the house hunting!

Chloe's ready for Christmas!!

Yep! She's got her outfit all ready to go! Thanks in great part to Mitzy over at her Etsy Shop Little Divas And Dudes

She's got the most adorable pieces, and I just love her to death! She was SO easy to work with, and was VERY fast with processing and shipping!!
My little princess looks so cute in her Candy Cane Shirt with her little tutu!! I can't wait for our Christmas adventures to show her off to the family looking oh so stylish!!
The shirt is so well made, and the sewing work is flawless!! I couldn't believe how well it was in the time that I contacted her to actually getting the shirt. I washed and dried it, and it came out looking great!!
She's something for Christmas and Fall. So if you already have your Little One's Christmas outfit picked out, you can get him/her something for next year!! You can't beat her prices either! So reasonable for the work that she does! And I'm sure she would work with you and make something custom! It can't hurt to ask! That's all that I did! And if you place an order from her before Christmas, you can use this coupon code and get free shipping on your purchase!! NEXTFS. Don't let that go to waste!!
So, don't hesitate! Run, don't walk over to her sweet little Etsy shop and buy something. I promise, you won't regret it! I know I didn't! And I'm for sure going to be purchasing from her in the near future too!
This is the shirt that was listed on her page!
And this is my little girl wearing it! So cute right?!
Please don't mind her hair, or the fact that she's not looking at the camera, or even the fact that she's wearing pj bottoms....I wanted to get a picture of her in the shirt, and this was in the morning while I was getting her dressed for day care, and she just would not cooperate...typical toddler. But, cute nonetheless! Just wanted you to see how cute the shirt was! Adorbs!!
