Chloe's 18 Months Old!!!
We took Chloe to the doctors on Tuesday for her Well baby visit. She turned 18 months on Monday. She usually doesn't really think anything of it when we walk into the office. So, we were fine at that point. But once the nurse opened the door and called her name, she looked at us at pouted her bottom lip and just started whining. So I picked her up and we walked to our room. She was still very pouty when we got to the room. Took her clothes off and got her weighed and her temp taken. Which, she did really good with. Normally she would twist and wiggle and try her hardest to get away. This time she just took what was happening, but was just a little whiny (with a cute little bottom lip pout). So we went back to the room and waited for the doctor. When she came in Chloe saw her and started getting whiny again, but she wasn't too bad. The doctor is always really nice and sweet when she comes in. She said hi to Chloe and asked her for a high five! Chloe got a little more comfortable with her and gave her a high five. And then I told Chloe to give her some "nuckels". Chloe laughed at that, and did what I asked. So that was really cute! So the doctor got the the checkup and asking all of our normal questions. Told us what to expect with potty training and that she still can't have peanut butter and all that good stuff. Gave us her stats, checked her eyes and then checked her ears. Turns out she has an ear infection...ugh! Really?! Again?! Well, that just SUCKS! So she put in a Rx for us and then went to get her shot ready. So, the nurse came back in, gave her the shot and then we were on our way. Chloe did like REALLY well for the most part. She didn't cry and scream like she normally does. She was just a bit whiny and a little sad, but other then that she was just fine. The doctor normally can't even listen to her heart beat or her lungs because she's crying so much. But this time, we had NO problem! So I was very proud of her on that. So, now we have antibiotics for 10 days. Gah....NOT fun!But the real reason for this post. She's a year and a half! And I can't believe it!!! And she REALLY must have gone through a growth spurt! I swear at her 12 month appointment she was like 29 something inches. But THIS time she was 31.5 inches long! And she weighs 23.5 lbs AND her head is 19 in....My baby girl isn't a baby anymore! She's growing up so fast! And it's making me sad...but at the same time really excited.
